~~~SEWING my way to POFQ ~ American Girl outfits & Custom Park Bags! ~~~
Andrea... I don't think she is sick enough to go to the er, but we oir urgent care at home is only open 8-5p, so if we need to be seen after hours we have to go to the er.
She was just seen by the paramedics in disney, they won't diagnose her, but they 'think' she could be dehydrated? It's possible, she has been drinking water, but not a ton of it.
Personally, I think she has a stomach virus.
D~
Praying for a safe, uneventful trip home! Hope A is feeling better before boarding the flight! Can't wait to hear all about the trip!
If she is dehydrated she may need an IV so I think the ER is a good idea -- when you go to our ER they have it combined with an urgent care area right at the hospital which IMO is very smart. Even if it's a stomach virus she may need fluids. Keep her drinking, but likewise I would let her sleep on the plane if she is able to. Get her as hydrated as you can though before she boards that plane!!!! Do you have a direct flight? I so hope so (though I doubt it). I'm so sorry she is ill and am really sorry it's a travel day. I'm very glad you had her looked at at Dis. I am a big worrier when it comes to mysterious illnesses -- three years ago my sister ended up the ICU with sepsis and acute kidney failure after a diagnosis and treatment for strep throat and that was right around the time that model died from sepsis. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just really concerned and hope Alli is Ok. She will be in my thoughts and prayers (as well as you for a very safe and uneventful trip home). :hug:
And thank you for posting the update -- I just got home from picking the kids up and came to check before I even washed out their lunch boxes.
just saw on FB that D and the girls are home!!!
welcome home! hope you all get a great night's sleep and Alli is feeling better :hug::hug::hug::hug:
Praying for you all and hoping Alli wakes up feeling MUCH better after a good nights sleep in her own bed. :hug:
:welcome: Home.... Now you have the fun of reliving your trip through pictures. That is what gets me over having the Disney blues.
Hope your daughter is feeling better.:sick: I think I had mentioned before my DD gets stomach problems everytime we go to Disney. It took about a month after we came back for her to feel better but it would come and go. I read online somewhere that someone cut out all Florida water and even ordered their drinks with no ice. I think I am going to try that this year and see if it makes a difference.
I read this somewhere else too. I live in FL, and I drink the water :scared1: I wonder what people think we have in our water :confused3
I do this. I even brush my teeth with bottled water. I get Montezumas revenge no matter where I go. I know FL it is something they treat their water with that does it to me because I am not used to it. IF I boil the water and then put in the fridge I am fine.
J and I have horrible issues with the water when we go away. G and C are fine.
WELCOME HOME D.
THank you LIsa for letting everyone know that we made it home. I plan to do a much longer post in a little bit.
Just a short update:
Allison is feeling MUCH better - she got a great night's sleep in her own bed. :)
Our flight was very rough... The seat belt sign was on the entire trip. :( Which did nothing for Alli's tummy pain - but she was a trooper and slept through it all. The reason for our bumpy flight was that we passed through a bunch of storms.
Anyways, we are home - and it feels very good to be home. :)
D~ Welcome Home! Glad to hear DD is feeling better. Our flight down sounds like your flight back, when the pilot told us before take off that we would be flying into head winds and to expect a rough and bumpy ride, I about died, then at one point as we were have a lesser amount of turulance he came on and told us "this is about as good as it gets" :scared1:
I normally am not a nervous flyer and in fact rather enjoy flying but I was on edge for most of our flight down.
I am sure some of you saw my post on FB...
Josh got a puppy the day we left. He's been texting me pictures the entire trip, and I've been falling in love the entire time... He is just a precious little guy - who has more energy than all of us combined. LOL
He doesn't have a name yet - we are tossing around a couple of name possabilities... Josh wants a one syllable name (for hunting) and I want a human name for him...
He is an AKC Golden Retreiver - both parents have a shorter red coat - so his fur (which is only a bit darker than Ruf's) will darken up more as he gets older.
And, would I ever disappoint... Pictures galore:
And then the girls and I got him a souvenir while we were in Disney - although the girls didn't know it was for the puppy - they thought I suddenly ditched Donald. :confused3 :rotfl2:
D~
You evil sneak!!! You knew you were coming home to a puppy!!!! Did the girls know?
So glad A is feeling better :) Still keep her well hydrated until she feels herself again.
So what are the names you are tossing around? I love helping with names. Golden Retrievers are so smart and easy to train. Wise pick over a Shih Tzu :lmao: (Don't tell my babies I said that!)
Oh my gosh, how could you not fall in love with a face like that :lovestruc that is adorable!! We got my puppy a stuffed duck when she was little and she thinks it's her surrogate mother, she still goes and gets it when she's sleepy :upsidedow
So glad your daughter is feeling better, nothing like your own bed!
Yes, I did know, and most of the Disers that actually met me IRL also knew - cause I can't keep my mouth shut about anything. :confused3 The girls did not know. V suspected, because she saw one of my reply txts to Josh - but him and I managed to talk her out of her theory with a large white lie.
Me too... I still think it was a bug though. :confused3
LOL Well, the main contender right now is Max. Actually that's the only one - but we haven't sat down as a family to throw other options out there. We want to spend some time with him first.
That is so cute!!
Yes, having our own bed helps a lot - it really feels good to be home. The sun is shining, and the weather is perfect - the girls and I are being lazy in our jammies... :lovestruc We have to go to town later to get some groceries - and to get the little man his very own collar... Josh refused to get him any more than the necessities until we got home. :lovestruc
D~
Glad that you all got home safe and sound. Sorry that A wasn't feeling well during the end of your trip and glad tht she is feeling better today. I am loving the pictures of the new puppy. I was thinking of that yesterday when you were going home. I was so excited knowing that the girls (and you) were going home to a new puppy. I can't wait to hear what you decided to call him.
It was great hanging out with you at Epcot and I can't wait to read all about your trip on your TR. Think of any good TR titles yet? Oh and by the way, I need to send you some pics. What is the best way to do that?
Glad you made it home safely! I forgot we were coming home the same day. I'm actually pretty sure I saw you at MK on Wednesday, but I wasn't sure. I remembered none of our days overlapping, and you only had one of the girls with you, but after reading your updates now that makes sense. We were rushing to get somewhere so I wasn't really paying attention, but I wish I had stopped to say hi :(
Your new puppy is SO adorable! We have a golden retriever too. We got her as a puppy and she's turning 6 next month. She's the sweetest dog :lovestruc
I got that same Eeyore stuffed animal, but it's for me not for my dog ;) :laughing:
Ack! I just had an entire reply written out and it disappeared!!!
Love the pup! He's so darn cute!
Love the name Max. . .
Bought a new Sunbeam iron at Costco for $30 - so far so good.
Have to buy 4 new tires for my car :( Took it to get inspected today and that's the only thing that didn't pass :(
My original reply was much longer and just "better" overall, but I don't have time to retype the whole thing.
Glad you're home safe & sound and that the girls are lovin' the new pup!
