Cruising towards 10 days of fun... a July/Nov 2012- & We're BACK!!! Pg.50-51

I finished eating lunch and went to meet up with the girls. I found them laying on some lounge chairs watching some Disney cartoons. Juliana was feeling crummy again. We went for a short walk on the outside decks then Juliana had enough. She wanted to go back to sleep. I walked the girls back down to the room. Melody said she would stay with Juliana this time and I could go do what I wanted.

I headed back outside and grabbed another beer, found a chair, and tried to relax. Toy Story was just starting on the outdoor screen. Here I was, sitting by myself on a Disney cruise watching a movie, while Juliana was inside sleeping. It just wasn't fair. I watched the whole movie. By this time it was getting close to 5:00 and our dinner time was coming. I went back to the room and Juliana had just woken up and was watching TV.

Juliana didn't want to goto dinner so Melody told me to go eat and see if I could bring her back a little something. I took a shower, got dressed, and headed to Parrot Cay for dinner. I was seated with the same family from the night before. Our waiter came over and asked where Melody & Juliana were and I told him. He felt bad and said I could have food sent to the room. I said it was OK and I would just bring them something after I ate.

A few minutes passed and the more I thought about it I knew I didn't want to eat without them. I asked our waiter if I could send our meal from Parrot Cay to our room. He called the manager over and I told him what was going on. He said there was no problem- just order up our food and they will have someone deliver it to the room. I was so thankful that they did that.

I went back the the room and Juliana was feeling a little better. The medicine must of been kicking in. We waiting a while for our meal but it did eventually show up. Here we are on the last night of the cruise eating shrimp and filet mignon in our room. Juliana had a pasta dish and ate quite a bit of it. By the time we were done eating, Juliana was feeling ok. She wanted to go see the show. We thought if would be better for her to just watch the show from the room but she insisted to watching it from the theater. We caved in and told her we could but we would leave if she started feeling crummy.

On the way to the theater.

We saw Mickey & Minnie in their formal wear but we didn't have time to stop to meet them.

We found some seats then I went back out to grab a drink and some snacks. The person in front of me bought a whole bottle of wine for the show and I thought that was a great idea, so I followed suit. I ended up with a bottle of pinot grigio, some popcorn, and a drink for Juliana. Melody was a little shocked when I showed up with the bottle but after the day we had, we needed it.

Juliana was ready for the show.

Disney Dreams was about to start...

We really enjoyed the show. I'm glad we were able to go and see it. Juliana made it though the whole thing but she was getting tired again. I think we stopped in the gift shop for a minute then went back up to our room. I poured myself the last glass of wine (I think Melody had one glass and I drank the rest) When we opened the door to the room, there was a little friend waiting for us.

Juliana was ready to sleep again in her bunk.

Melody was tired and told me to go and explore the ship- which I took advantage of. I stopped by the club and it was dead. I also stopped in the package store, but the alcohol prices weren't that great. So I went outside and watched Wall-E. I was getting tired myself, probably from the wine, and went back to the room to pass out.

Up next... back in NYC

the photo of Juliana in the big bed is just so sad....happy she got in another nap and was feeling well enough to see the show!
nice you got special room service too!

I love the photo of the girls in the shadow of the sunset!!!

it must of been so hard to see Juliana not feeling well on her special anniversary trip, you all deserved such a magical, fun trip :goodvibes

When we woke up we were already in port. I could tell the ship wasn't moving. We loaded up our suitcases... it was already over. I guess that is what happens on a 2 night cruise. Juliana didn't feel too warm.

A few lights in the room....

We double checked the room and had everything. It was time to head to breakfast.

Hey! I can't see you!

There you are...

We had a nice breakfast, then it was time to disembark. We only had to wait a few minutes till they called our group.

The whole 'getting off' process went very fast. Some last pictures of the ship.

We were in the car for all of two minutes when Melody was calling Juliana's doctor. We had planned on spending a few hours in the City but we had to get Ana seen. As we were leaving the port, Ladder 49 was displaying a huge flag in front of the Intreped museum.

We drove to the doctor, picking up Christopher on the way. Juliana's fever wasn't too high and they think she was just fighting a virus. (I feel like this is what they always tell us when they have no idea) By that evening, her fever was mostly gone. Bad timing, but what cha gonna do?

We had a great time on the cruise and although Juliana had a rough day, she said she loved it and wants to do it again. I want to as well... someday. I do have that cruise that I booked while on the ship... now to figure out when we can fit that into our schedule. :goodvibes

I know... I wish I could of changed places with her.

Eating 'real' food and not room service food for dinner was a special treat. They didn't have to do that for us.

I love the photo of the girls in the shadow of the sunset!!!
Thank you! :)

It was, but this is what we deal with on a week to week/ month to month basis here. She was out of school last Tuesday because of a fever wich broke Tuesday night. She should of stayed out Wednesday too because they are supposed to be 24 hours fever free but we sent her. She has already missed 5 days this year. :faint:

Oh man, that's too bad that Juliana was feeling crappy on the cruise. Poor thing. I'm glad that she felt well enough to go to the theater though.
She was a trouper. I'm sure she wasn't feeling good but she lied good enough to have us let her go. :rotfl:

I love this picture:
:thumbsup2
Thanks Glen! Even I get a good one from time to time. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Look at that poor, sweet girl, she just doesn't look like her usual perky self and you can tell.

This has to be my ALL-TIME favorite picture. This is absolutely priceless.

I'm so sorry Ana was sick for the end of the cruise; and typical doctor's when they dont' know what it is...he/she has a virus. Really...you could have saved the money and figured that out yourself. Sometimes (especially with all that we have going on with my mom and brother) the medical profession drives me insane.

I'm so glad you got to take this very special trip with Princess Juliana to celebrate a very important milestone. :goodvibes

Give the kids kisses and hugs from adopted Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mark.

really stinks about her not feeling well, but seems like you guys still had a great time, and got to do something you will remember for a long time.

and it will just make the next cruise that much better with you being a veteran to the cruise industry now.

:thumbsup2

aws poor Ana looks so miserable in the pic of her in bed. Poor pet. Glad she got to enjoy the show though.

happy is was only a "virus"...hope she can stay fever free for a good long while and not miss anymore school....know you all will have a magical trip in November.....so get started on the PTR now that you are done with this TR :thumbsup2

I feel so bad that she got sick. At least it didn't deteer you from going again. I'm glad she felt well enough to see the show.

Poor Juliana. Just typical that you catch a bug during a 2 night cruise. :faint: I'm glad that she was feeling maybe a little better and wanted to see the show though. Hopefully the next cruise she can stay healthy and enjoy it all.

I think you're absolutely right! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

She gets that response a lot. She is always at the doctor with a virus. :faint:

Just our luck she got sick on the 1 sea day. Oh well... we will just have to do it again!

Awww, that picture of Ana laying in bed not feeling well breaks my heart. We've been through "sick at Disney" before and that just sucks.

2 days cruises just aren't long enough!:rolleyes1

We've brought her to the walk-in clinic before down there before. Vacation+sick=no fun. :sad2:

Neither are 7 day cruises. :lmao::lmao:

Ok, all caught up! Congrats on Christopher's 1st birthday (he is a cutie patootie!) and on Juliana's 5 years Cancer free!

I love the Magic and certainly hope you guys can sail again especially after Christopher gets older. Just got off the Fantasy and it was a blast. I'm sorry that Juliana got sick. :( Sounds like you had a good time anyways.

I will be looking out for you guys when we are in WDW! I'm so excited to be headed down again for F&W, MNSSHP, and MVMCP!
