Favorite "Lost Ride"

Forgive me if this is the wrong board (and please tell me where it should be!).

Talking about Swiss Family Rob got me to thinking "what's your favorite lost ride?". Could be any ride that was 'updated' to be completely different (like Test Track or the Tiki Room) or a ride that was completely removed (such as Horizons or Mr Toads Wild Adventure).

As for me? I am not sure I can point to just one... But the top of my list would be:
Alien Encounter. I like stitch, but Alien Encounter was so much more cool.
Believe it or not, "If you had wings" is up there for me (anyone remember that ride?).
World of motion. I like Test Track better, but i still miss the old WOM.
There was a show in the land that had singing, dancing food as well. I remember liking it, but don't remember much else about it.

As a side note, I wish they would do SOMETHING with that old human body pavilion. It's just sitting there looking so... sad. I never liked it, but it's keen for a new ride.

Ah, yes, Kitchen Cabaret.

Mine would have to be Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
Followed closely by the original Imagination at Epcot. Second only because you can still ride it and remember what you should be looking at/hearing. :worried:

Even though I love the Buzz Lightyear ride and think it's a worthy replacement, riding If You Had Wings is one of my favorite childhood memories.

My husband would never forgive me if I didn't bring up Horizons. He misses that ride something terrible. For me, though, it's a harder choice. I miss Horizons, but I also miss the submarines and the skyway. I'm not happy about Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White's Scary Adventures being gone, either, but at least I can get my fill at Disneyland. Really miss Walter Cronkite as the narrator on Spaceship Earth. I think, though, that I miss Cranium Command the most. If not that, the Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade. Oh, or maybe Superstar Television. Then again, I also miss the Golden Girls' house on Backlot Tour.

Cranium Command. Final answer.

If you had wings.... was my fave childhood ride. Even though the family loves Buzz, everytime I go on it, I still think about the original ride :rolleyes1

I also miss the original journey into imagination.

Horizons!!!!!! I loved that ride!!

Food Rocks ( I think it replaced Kitchen Caberat)

Lion King show in the MK (but I love the replacement too)

Not a ride but I miss "Honey I shrunk the Audience"... I was so sad to find it was gone on my last trip.

As does my hubby. Poor thing gets so upset when he starts thinking about it!

So does mine. When we were planning our trip for last December, he started describing a ride that he really wanted to go on that we didn't do during our honeymoon back in 2007 (that was his first trip since the early 90's). So he starts describing the ride and my heart sinks. I know exactly which ride he is looking forward to and I know that it is no longer there. I tell him that I think he is talking about Horizons. I describe more parts of the ride and he confirms. Yes, he is dying to go on Horizons. It was his favorite ride back when he visited as a kid and has the best memories from there! I had to break the news to him that it was gone and that Mission Space was now in its place. He refuses to go on Mission Space, now, but loved it on our honeymoon. :rotfl2:

I did introduce him to Carousel of Progress this trip, though. I was hoping that it might fill the void a little since the two are really similar - just one is the future and the other is the past. He loved it! It's one of his must-dos now.
