Page ONE is updated with last week's results (better late than never) and my PM box is ready for this week's numbers!!
You all have been SUPER-DUPER quiet here lately, so let's turn up the chatter! Even if you only have a minute, let us know you are still here and still trying hard to get healthier! No guilt, no confessions.... just a pop-in post to let us know you are alive!!
I'll do some ramblings here, to keep up moving!
So I tried one of those "overnight oats" recipes last night. I've been tempted to try it and one of my WW members gave me a recipe and then I saw a few on Pinterest, so I decided it was time to try it. My consensus.... I won't bother in the future. It wasn't BAD, just not necessary. If I want oatmeal, I'll take the time to make oatmeal. If I want yogurt and fruit, I'll take the time to make yogurt and fruit. I don't feel the overwhelming need to eat oatmeal every day and this was actually a bit more time consuming than just a bowl of greek yogurt and fruit, which I find to be a suitable breakfast.
However, for someone who needs MORE for breakfast (more carbs, more protein, more calories), this might be just the ticket. It was definitely filling and I definitely ate it slower than a bowl of yogurt and I definitely felt like I was eating a bowl of healthy stuff (greek yogurt, old-fashioned oats, chia seeds, flaxseed meal, berries, cinnamon), but it was a pretty high calorie breakfast compared to my usual.... and that was with making a smaller portion than most of the recipes actually called for. But I encourage you to try it yourself if it sounds at all interesting to you! Just google "overnight oats" or search for it on Pinterest. TONS of ideas out there!
Held off on my morning walk because it was SUPER chilly this morning, but it has warmed up, so I'm going to hang out a load of laundry and then get out for a walk before I shower and hit the road to go visit my parents for a quick overnight.
My weight spiked up again this morning...
but I'm giving it one more day to look better and then I will just move on. That lovely chart I made for my wall is starting to look like an EKG strip.... up and down and up and down..... but as long as the DOWN it a bit lower every other week, I won't panic yet!
My "real" exercise was lacking again this week due to a busy schedule and the cold weather (I know.... these are just EXCUSES), so I have no one and nothing to blame but myself.
I'll give everyone the day to answer the QOTD before I contribute my answers! If you haven't been around much, I encourage you to go back and answer a few QOTD!
