I'm a bit confused I think you can only order peanut butter cup mousse from Grand Floridian, am I right?

We are staying at Pop and just love this flavor. We don't have a car, so I'm trying to figuer out what's the easiest way to get the cake. We don't care how fancy it is, we just want that flavor (wedding cake flavor and our favorite :)

You can get peanut butter cup mousse from many of the Deluxe Resort bakeries. Since you are staying at Pop, you can order by calling Pop (407-938-4590) and they will arrange to have your cake made by BoardWalk Bakery (which does offer peanut butter cup mousse) and delivered to your room. More info in Post #2 of this thread.

Does CRT still do the chocolate crowns? I called and asked about the slice of cake that used to be with the slipper and was told no. So now I'm thinking about doing the chocolate crown instead...

They were still doing them in May, so my guess is that is still an option.

My husband worked with the Boardwalk Bakery to make this special cake for our 10th anniversary (our theme was Lady & The Tramp) We LOVED our cake and it truly made our little private vow renewal ceremony in our room more "official" having this beautiful cake and we got champagne too!!

Wow, thank you so much Carrie. That's amazing it can be delivered to Pop. Thank you so much for your help. :)

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this cake. It is NOT one made by Disney, and who knows if they'd even attempt to re-create it, what with all their licensing restrictions, but it would be worth asking. Maybe even just do one tier with one character...

I've read all about the cakes from all kinds of sources (here and on several blogs about Disney cakes) and honestly, it's all a little overwhelming!!

I want to have a cake delivered to my daughter during lunch at Akershus on our last day (her 4th birthday). Rather than trying to order over the phone would it just be easier to talk to someone, once we're on property, in person? We're staying at CSR. We are there for 7 days so it would be plenty of lead time for ordering...

That's a fantastic cake!!! I have no idea if Disney could re-create that exact cake, but I do know they have license to use all SW characters in their cake designs. I had a custom Boba Fett cake made for my brother's 30th birthday in June and it came out amazing!

No. The people you need to talk to do not work in "on-stage" places that you can just walk up to and order from (well, except BoardWalk Bakery) so you have to call whether you're in Orlando or Ottawa. Maybe it's all clear to me cuz I wrote two of those blogs, but... which part is overwhelming you? Maybe I can help!

For delivery to Akershus, you call the number for Epcot, which is in post #2 of this thread. Done! :goodvibes

And our photos are where....? :rolleyes1 :teeth:

I've been reading the cake threads for a few months, and today I took the plunge and emailed the magic kingdom to ask about a mini cake to be delivered to the crystal palace at the end of this month. They responded with the generic options (chocolate or vanilla, Mickey, Minnie, or flower design). I have read that customized cakes can be made and delivered by the contemporary team--is this still true for mini cakes? And if so, do I just ask the MK team to send my request along?

Thanks very much!

Yes. You have to kinda get past their first line of defense (those 2 generic cakes) and explain that you want to work with the pastry team to customize one, and then they'll pass you along. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much! I just sent in my response to the generic email, so here's hoping I can share a picture in a few weeks with everyone :cool1:

Has anyone ever seen an Indiana Jones cake...the trip is a long way off, but I asked DH who was his favorite...and of course, I could not find any examples.

Also, what is the lead time for the chocolate crown and slippers at CRT? We are eating there Tuesday (4 DAYS!!!!!) and I want to get them for the kids. I can just call the cake hotline for those right?

Is the Zebra cake still available to order from AKL? It's no longer listed in the options on the first post.

I ordered one for our 25th anniversary dinner at Jiko, but that was 2 years ago. I would like to do the same this year but would like to make a "plan B", if necessary, before calling.

Thanks!

I think it's a minimum of 24 hours notice so you should be fine if you call ASAP.
