Marathon Weekend 2016

I've never noticed any shops or rides in MK being open during the Half or Full. I may be incorrect, but it seems like their main concern is getting everyone through MK before the park officially opens.

I was once a spectator for the half and forgot to put on deoderant and bought some at the main gift shop (Emporium) in MK.They also had a cart selling cinnamon buns and hot chocolate.Both of these are on the spectator side of Main Street so a runner would have to go under the rope through the spectators.The actual main street bakery/Starbucks is unlikely to be opened,I've never noticed it being open.

So the route in MK is different

Yea, besides going around 7DMT it also looks like it makes a right turn on that boardwalk toward BTMR where there is a turnaround.

Also looks like the course changes after Cinderella's Castle as well. It used to run right through Frontierland and out of the park, but now it appears as though there is a little jaunt just before leaving where we will run down towards Splash Mountain.

Lol, see that means we were probably sitting right next to each other and didn't even know it. I know for me, I'll have the list of 5K finishing times to see if I can spot anyone at the finish.

The meetup happens every year. People from all parts of the WISH forums show up. Some of my best running friends will be there. It's a good group of people.

Bad news for me. I was just laid off from my job. Unless I can get something else lined up in the next two weeks, I don't see how I can possibly do the marathon. I'm so sad and disappointed.

I'm so sorry! I hate that companies do this at this time of year. Mine did the same thing a few years ago. It sucks. I hope something pops for you soon!

I'm really sorry to hear that. I sure wish you the best. Can you do seasonal or temp. work for a couple weeks? It's not the way you planned to spend this time of year, I'm sure.
