Actually, I wish every park was open through the night for an extra cost, even with slightly limited attractions.
Or maybe even sell a "night only" ticket that is good from 10PM to 4AM.
Its really the only option left for the "walk on" fans IMO, esp 7DMT, Space, Pan, BTMRR, Soarin, TT, Frozen, TSM, RNR, TOT, Sta Wars, Toy Story, EE, Avatar.
Do you know how many the max is for the parties? Is it close? So I saw on wdwmagic that they sold around 300 tickets to this event for that first night. They had a total of around 1000 after they gave them away for free to DVC. The capacity Disney set for the event selling out was 8000.
8000 is the max. They of course had way less than that.Do you know how many the max is for the parties? Is it close?
LOL8000 is the max. They of course had way less than that.
Oh that I don't know but it's much larger than the capacity for this party. I'm guessing they just sell as many as they can before putting a cap on it. Halloween and Christmas parties can actually be crowded from what I've seen. If I'd have to guess that limit is closer to 20,000 maybe more maybe less.I meant like MVMCP and MNSSHP. Sorry for the confusion.
They really should put reasonable caps on these events. They're special event tickets after all and there's multiple days for it. If they can set a lower bar for this nonsense, they could at least set a lower cap for those events as well.Oh that I don't know but it's much larger than the capacity for this party. If they let you in at 7 and the park closes at 12, that's only 5 hours. They start letting folks into the parks at 4, that's closer to the 7 hours you're speaking about.I am willing to pay for the Halloween and Christmas parties for the ambiance and decorations and whatnot. For what makes out to be 7 hours in the parks if they do indeed let you in at 7.... I will pass
But $$$$ that's all Disney cares about with paid for events. They really should put reasonable caps on these events. They're special event tickets after all and there's multiple days for it. If they can set a lower bar for this nonsense, they could at least set a lower cap for those events as well.

Wow, 8,000! The reports would be way different with that many. Personally, I think that is too many. (I'd be shocked if they sold that many) For that kind of money I would want it to be more walk-on than that. Probably 3,000....for me. Less of course is better. So I saw on wdwmagic that they sold around 300 tickets to this event for that first night. They had a total of around 1000 after they gave them away for free to DVC. I'm not saying you don't have a point...but you had to stop setting such a low bar for them to get your
Money.
They can't manage their crowds...so you want to pay them for that?
I don't remember all of the questions, but one of them was something like "would you be willing to pay more for a ticket if you had GUARANTEED lower crowds?"
Wow. I have no idea how they could possibly guarantee lower crowds.
I just don't see how they can make that promise without turning the thing into something like the process of getting box seats for a big game or concert tickets for a sold out concert. Yuck.
How would they guarantee less crowded? Less crowded relative to what?
Less crowded then...the days that are...more crowded?!?!
Kinda feel the only way they can guarantee lower crowds is to declare the park at it's capacity for a day far lower than what it would take to normally close it.
How do you think they will guarantee lower crowds if they are boosting crowds on those days by offering cheaper admission?!
Asking a question about "guaranteed" smaller crowds does not at all mean that they are planning or proposing doing such a thing. It's designed to get information on how people feel about crowds, in some way or another that we are not privy to. The question doesn't tell us much about what they're really after without a more complete context of the survey. And even then, I suspect we could only guess.
In short, don't try to read too much into survey questions.
There is no way that you can guarantee that the time between me buying my "special super-deluxe" ticket and when i actually show up at the gate you haven't "over-sold" those tickets.
In my scenario I'm thinking of 2 separate tickets. Tou would buy "super tickets" by park and day with Guaranteed low crowds. So for Example, on June 27th, only people with Super MK tickets for that Tuesday would be allowed in that day. They would be hard tickets separate from your normal tickets. Everyone else would need to choose between the other 3 parks. Only 1 park at a time could have the "guarantee".
Interesting either way they didn't hit that cap of course.Spent time with MK CM (not front line) last two weekends.
YES, tickets sold were low for night one. They were given the number of 260. The remaining folks in the park were DVC members.
CMs were bored, particularly those who had to work the stores at the end of rides. Obviously no one was shopping.
BUT according to what they were told cap is not 8000. They were told between 3000-4000 tickets would be the cap for the event.
