2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Thanks...this helped me confirm I won't be doing one. During my trip, the sessions are all either TBA, making a drink, or pumpkin decorating? :confused3

Agreed, my trip is spice mixing? For $60/pp, I'll pass. Shame as this is the thing I was most optimistic about.

If I HAVE to go on the weekend, what's my best strategy? I've been to F&W twice before, but only during the week. My dilemma is this - it's a quick weekend trip (adults only), getting in around 6pm on Friday Oct. 14 and leaving at noon on Monday Oct. 17. We also want to do the MNSSHP. My choices for MNSSHP are Friday night (which means rushing there right after we arrive), or Sunday night. If I choose Sunday night, which is the better choice because we can get into the park at 4PM, that only leaves Saturday for F&W. *Sigh*. Is it going to be REALLY bad? Is Sunday much better than Saturday?
Yes, Saturday is really bad. You would be MUCH BETTER off to do Sunday right at opening until 2 or 3. If you must do Saturday be standing at the booth you want the most around 1040 am and have a game plan of must dos.

are there eat to the beat dining packages available. I can not seem to find the link on it?

Have any of you been to the Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic? We are considering it. I wonder what happens if it rains?

I bought the sampler package last year and it included Eat to the Beat concert series. I don't see where it says that for this year. Do u think it will be part of the package again?

Can you use the Disney Dining Plan for any of the food at the food booths, during the Food and Wine Festival. We are doing the quick service dining plan and are unsure if anything counts as a quick service meal or as a snack? TIA!

The first year we did it (which was Year 2 of the Swan/Dolphin Food & Wine Classic), there was one of those all day, torrential rains. They definitely had a contingency plan and it was held indoors in the Swan convention area. It was so organized and beautifully presented that you would have thought being indoors was the plan all along!

Now if it starts raining while you're out on the Causeway (one of those pop-up showers), you will get wet! ;)

Does anyone know if you have to charge items on your Disney Visa in order to get the early access or can you be a cardholder and charge another card? I wound rather use another card if possible.

We went a few years ago - no rain. We enjoyed it but would not go again. The lines seemed ridiculously long and, although the food was good, the lines made it less than spectacular.

I have visited on many Saturdays and they are definitely the worst, but you will be ok. Just know that you could be waiting in a food line for 20 minutes versus 5 minutes during the week

You would still have Sunday 11-when you leave for MNSSHP. Booths probably will be open earlier.

Thanks. My Mom, who is joining me on this trip, has never done Food & Wine. I've told her how great it is, but I'm afraid she won't enjoy it if it's really packed. Maybe doing both on Sunday is a better option. :scared:

Maybe we need to choose between F&W and MNSSHP. That might be a lot to do in one day. Hmm...
Thanks for the feedback! :thanks:

I got the TiW email and my first thought was, "I thought it was 7 a.m.?"

Does anyone have more definite information on 7/19 and 7/21? I have seen 7 am and 9 am in various places. We live on the West Coast and I am going to be angry if I am up at 4 am PST for no good reason!!

Anytime when it was something that it was a Disney visa enclusive thing I always had to charge to the card. It really it is the only way for them to verify.

So as it stand now
18th at 7 am for AP only for seminars and demos
19th at 7 am for AP/DVC/ Disney visa and TiW For demos, seminars and "special events" that we still don't what exactly which ones.
21st everyone for everything ?

What about the 20th?
