Ok, help needed (and sorry, I'm sure this is out there, but tried searching to find an answer before posting!). Went to do Online Check-in (arrive on the 15th), and wanted to make my requests. Only options are Upper Floor, Near Elevator, Near Transportation, Near Lobby. I have been told to request "near Rafiki Elevators", but am unsure how to do this.

Your best bet would be to call Disney and make that exact request. You can still do online check-in, but leave the online requests blank or you'll overwrite what the CM entered. The online options are very limited, often have glitches, so I don't even try to use that section of online check-in anymore!

Can you add me please? We will be there from September 15th thru the 25th. Jambo house. I've done a lot of research because this is the first time staying here. I'm super excited to be staying there. Not only is it the first time staying at AKL, but my first time staying at a Deluxe resort. We can't wait!!

I was just doing some reading on Trip Advisor and have a few questions...

Are the bathrooms really dark and tiny (not really a huge issue but curious)? Any problems with room service? Also saw some complaints about bed bugs, yikes!!!

Bathrooms are dark, yes, but not tiny. Never had an issue with bed bugs, never used room service (but probably will in august!).

84 days! I feel like it has been stuck at that for about 15 days now, though..

We are booking for the first week of Oct as soon as the dates are out. It's going to be a ladies trip. We have 4 of us so far. We are looking forward to staying at AKL our first Deluxe for all of us too. I have never even been to the hotel for any other reason. So this will be such a nice surprise.

A couple questions...I see a few people talking about making room requests at online check-in. You can do that? Also, what would be most desirable in the pool view section if you want things relatively quiet? And can someone tell me what toiletries the rooms have? I know they had shampoo/conditioner at POR. Is this the same? Also, I know there's a mini fridge, but I'm going to guess no microwave?
