Volcano Bay Cabana - Pricing

I wouldn't say you're getting ripped off.. that's top dollar for a 2nd story Cabana which can be expected for opening week AND a holiday week. It is strange how one "magically" appeared though.

I believe that's the standard holiday pricing. I was quoted the same price for July 4th weekend. First floor is $100 less.

I'd make nothing of the "magically" appearing. Who knows how well the system is set up right now. They may have misread the system at first, or maybe they were able to release an additional cabana, or maybe there had been a cancellation.

Plus I actually think they are still building the cabanas! It magically appeared after a crew worked all night and got another one done!

I plan to go in the early fall, so I guess I need to start looking into cabana reservations now. I'd like a Cabana Girl in a bikini, though, instead of a guy in a Speedo (not that there's anything wrong with that)...

Videos I have seen from this week show that they are still building cabanas. Plus, maybe someone canceled.

I called on Friday to reserve a cabana for the week of Memorial Day. I was told cabanas were sold out through June. The rep said I could rent premium seating for $44 a pair. I was bummed about not being able to experience the cabana for my foster kids.

She put me on hold 2 times and came back and said a 2nd story cabana rental was available in Rainforest for $532. I jumped on it.

Now, I am feeling like I'm getting ripped off because how did this cabana magically appear. And why is this single cabana priced like a family size?

My Mom will be with us and now I'm wondering how accessible will the cabana be for her.

I don't mind the 1 time splurg as long as I'm am paying a fair price. It would be nice if there was a consistent rate chart with options to choose.

I was told the cabana comes with a ceiling fan, wifi and power outlet.
its not too late to ask for refund

Just spoke with Universal Reservations and ALL cabanas & premium seating are sold out until July 14th as of now. We're going 4th of July week so guess we'll have to stake out a shady spot and hope for the best!

Be sure to get there early, as I'm sure the park will hit capacity almost every day that week.

I just booked for July 2nd a couple days ago... so everything must have sold quick. I hope they still have some flexibility, they put me in Rainforest village, but I'm really hoping for a change to the wave village.

I bet some people will cancel as their plans come together. I actually booked premium seating for 2 days in late July, because at the time, we weren't sure which day we would go to VB. I will probably cancel one of them next week, since we only plan to go 1 day. Maybe others did the same with the cabanas. The premium seating had a 72 hour cancellation. I don't know if the cabanas were the same, but I would check about a week or less before your days.

I've been reading some reports on Twitter that the number of Cabanas has changed and that caused them to be oversold in the coming weeks... hopefully it's not too many people losing out!!

Hopefully it's just a matter of their still finishing some of the Cabanas up and it won't effect bookings for too long.

The message above stating everything was "sold out through July 14th" made me panic as I realized I forgot to book my premium seating for end of June. I just called, and was able to reserve 3 pair for June 28th in the Wave Village. Cost for all 3 premium seats was $207.66.

The TM I spoke to said all cabana's and premium seats were sold out from today until the middle of June. Also that express passes were sold out during that time period as well.

I guess it's best to presume that in the first few months, all the nice amenities will sell out quickly.
