If building 10 opened on Sept 23rd or before I would be ecstatic, that's the day we get there!!! I'm going to be monitoring like a hawk.
I'd be happy for you if this happened but I wouldn't count on it as they haven't even started this building yet and refurbishments are currently taking longer than 2 months to complete.

Don't worry I know that I've been watching these boards for months, since all the refurbishments/construction is affecting both the hotels we blocked rooms in for our wedding guests. I'm just not feeling the 80's, so we'll probably go with a non-refurb room.

Hmmmm, maybe it was AoA that had the cherry coke.... Either way, it was *last* June that we were at AoA (but ate at Pop a time or two). I think they change out the flavors periodically because wherever it was that we had the Cherry Coke, I remember my husband saying that he wished they had it the year before.

I'm a huge fan of the Coke Freestyle machines. I usually drink the Gold Peak ice tea at Disney but my "go to" soda is Caffeine Free Diet Cherry Vanilla coke...which is only available in the freestyle machines. I suspect/hope/pray that over time *all* of the food courts will go to these. I thought there was a picture a few months back when the renovations started at Pop that showed numerous freestye machines lined up in the parking lot. Wonder where they are now....

Caffeine Free Diet Cherry Vanilla Coke,
what are you a mad woman? :crazy2: Don't get me wrong, I'm always game for a Cherry Vanilla Coke, but going thru a week vacation at WDW with caffeine is tough enough, don't think I could make it without it. It's not like I drank Coke because I enjoyed it, I drank it for the caffeine. :rotfl2:

In all seriousness though, I agree, having FreeStyle machines at *all* the food courts would be great. Like I posted previously, I would gladly pay a premium for the option. By the way, any variation of Mr. Pibb in the Freestle machines, is my "go to" drink.

You guys are funny. I drink nothing but ice water all day, every day :rotfl2:

I wish I could blindly indulge in caffeine but my heart doesn't react very well....hence my anti-anxiety meds. :D I can have a "normal" amount of caffeine in a day...and even a high level of caffeine for a day or two. But if I have too much too many days in a row I'll end up at the ER with nasty heart palpitations that won't quit without some good drugs. So it's caffeine free for me whenever possible.

And I agree that I would pay a premium for a Freestyle machine at Disney.

Water is my drink of choice 90% of the time. I easily drink a few quarts a day both at home and at Disney. But I love a good crappy soda when I'm going out to eat or on vacation. And I cannot resist a Freestyle machine!. :D

Anyone there now or recently......

Is the night time movie shown at the Hippy Dippy pool or on the lawn near the food court? We've seen it in both places on different trips. I'm just wondering where it's being shown these days. Thanks!

Closest grocery and liquor store to Pop or on the way back to Pop from Disney Springs? Just need a few snacks that won't ship well, bottled water, milk, and adult beverages! Thanks in advance!

I'm almost positive it is still back at the Hippy Dippy Pool Deck.:)

I could be wrong, but I thought the only time it isn't shown by the pool is when the pool is closed off due to storms in the vicinity (but not necessarily storms at Pop)

It was moved moved from the Hippy Dippy Pool to an area "between" the Food Court and the 1970s for quite a while, but has been back at Hippy Dippy now for a long time(and still is unless moved very recently).:)

Yes, we were at Pop August 2015 and December 2015, so we haven't been back in over a year and a half. During the times we were there, it was shown on that grassy area almost exclusively. We enjoy sitting around the Hippy Dippy pool watching the movie so much more then that other space. :)

Ah ok. I've actually never even seen it set up there.

Cherry Coke Zero all day long! The only drink I ever get on the Freestyle machines. The carbonation is so much better on them. Pop's current ones always seem to be broken or flat.

Question....either upthread or in another thread, someone said pop and AoA alternate movie nights and you can watch at either. Just checking if this was true and "legal" I thought movies were around the pool and pool hopping was "illegal".

Thanks!

Yes and yes.

I thought movies were around the pool and pool hopping was "illegal".

Thanks!

Correct, they are around the pool. Anyone can be around the pool, just not IN the pool gates.

Unless it's changed in the last year (and I know it could have), AoA's movies are shown on the grass between Nemo Bldg. 5 and Lion King Bldg. 6. When we stayed there in 2013, the movie was shown in the pool area -- which was pretty neat because you could bob around the pool while watching the movie, but probably a nightmare for the lifeguards as there was a huge group of people in a small area of the water. But when we stayed there in 2015 & 2016, the movie was always shown on the lawn.

We watched a movie at AofA probably 3 years ago or more when we stayed at Pop. At that time it was shown in the gated pool area. We told a CM we were there to see the movie and we were let in. We didn't have swimming suits on or anything. I wonder if it's now on the grass to keep us Pop people out of the pool area.
