Discontinued Menu Items You Want Back

After returning from Disney this past weekend, the GF and I were discussing what food we miss eating the most at Disney because it is no longer offered. Here is what we came up with

The Burger at LeCellier: We both absolutely loved this burger and while I have been able to do a decent job of recreating the sweeter taste of the beef (add maple syrup to a sweet BBQ sauce and mix with the beef) it isn't the same. Such a shame that it was taken off the menu.

Tanglewood Chicken at Jiko: This was a spicy chicken that was honestly as good as any of the beef options available on the menu. Unfortunately there were too many complaints that it was too spicy and it was replaced with a much milder dish that just doesn't come close.

Pulled Pork Mac And Cheese at HS: For a few years WDW had tested a bunch of different Mac and Cheese menu items throughout the parks. We personally enjoyed all of them. However, only the hamburger mac and cheese at Friar's Nook remains. IMO this was the least appetizing option.

Anyone else have a menu item that has been discontinued that you miss?

BBQ Slaw (hot) Dog at Casey's.

Thankfully, there was a version as 'Hotdog of the Month' on our recent visit and enjoyed to the sounds Casey's Corner Piano Man.......

But I'd like to know that anyone could do this every day.

The caramelized banana napoleon from Flying Fish
Jiko used to have an AMAZING ostrich appetizer
The old Mickey Mouse ice cream bars where just the ears had the chocolate shell

I also miss the pasta in garlic sauce with shrimp, zucchini and carrots at the old Good Turn restaurant (in the Land at Epcot). Also there was the sunrise breakfast. Fluffy scrambled eggs in puff pastry with cheddar and asparagus and a great assortment of breakfast pastries.

Croque monsieur from Les Chefs de France (lunch)

Fettuccini alfredo from the now defunct Alfredo’s (before Tutto Italia)

Tuna app at Flying Fish with avocado and compressed watermelon

Fondue at Territory Lounge
Polynesian plate lunches (steak or chicken) at Kona Cafe
Boursin Burger (which was available only seasonally, so hopefully will be back) at Sci Fi

Fondue is still listed on the online menu, has it been recently removed? If so, bummer!

Strawberry Swirl from Enchanted Grove in MK

ADULT GRILLED CHEESE @ capt. cooks, I'm still completely heartbroken over that one.
The stuffed pablano pepper @ garden grill.
The chicken pita with the couscous salad @ The Mara.
The veggie burger at Sci-fi that had the tomato jam, cucumber and grilled onions...best veggie burger ever.
Grilled veggie panini with goat cheese at Artist Palette.

Potato crusted snapper from Flying Fish

The caramelized banana napoleon from Flying Fish

I miss the whole original menu at Flying Fish. The redone menu isn’t anywhere near as appealing as the original. To the PP who mentioned that horrible sounding watermelon-tuna combo—yuck! That appetizer was the final nail in the original (and better IMO) FF’s coffin.

I miss the teriyaki burger with pineapple at the old Adventureland Verandah.

I remember that burger from the 1970s. When did it go away?

In 2010, the s’mores cheesecake at the Whispering Canyon was very popular. I got mine to go after an AYCE dinner skillet. It was the best midnight snack!

Figaro fries from Pinocchio. Chocolate “mousse” from LeCellier. The original version of schoolbread from Norway. (Though I do like the new one.)

I miss the kielbasa sandwich that used to be at Rosie's in HS.

I miss the way the LAND food court used to be - chocolate chip cookies, the potato counter, the frozen beverage counter...

The apple turnover from the Main Street Bakery that was coated in sugar...
