Right...I've run EE, Princess 5k/10k, Dark Side 5/10/& Half, with all shirts being short sleeved. I thought that was the way it was. Shocked to hear about long sleeves and not sure how I feel about it. But hey, I'll find a use during training for another run at some point, and its something for my money at ever increasing run prices.
Funny. I had just the opposite reaction. I've done six runDisney half marathons, and only one of the shirts for those races is long-sleeved (2017 Star Wars Light Side). My other shirts are from Tinkerbell (2016 & 2017), Dark Side (2017), Disneyland Half (2017) and Princess (2018), and those are all short-sleeved. I'm excited to get another long-sleeved race shirt
I looked at prices when I first registered and they were ridiculously high so I figured I would wait a bit until I saw your post. Checked prices this morning and there was a seat sale ($200 less than a few weeks ago!) so I booked a late flight on Thursday night returning Monday evening.
All long except for the 5K usually.
That stinks.

It was just a general runDisney email. Not everyone gets those all the time.
I noticed that. Frustrating that some airlines aren’t scheduling out that far.
I only fly southwest too. I like three free baggage.
They don’t fly direct from Cleveland anymore but I’m still waiting to compare them to Frontier. Frontier flies dierect and we haven’t had a problem yet. I pay for bags, but it is still a couple hundred cheaper than United, which is my only other non-stop option. I’m just frustrated. I’m a planner, don’t these airlines know that?! Lol
