*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

I guess I forgot to join this roll call.

My 3 yo DS and I will be there from Aug 30 - Sep5 at WL. DH is staying home this time.

I can hardly wait for the trip. Work has been so intense- I want to be at WDW already!!

I was checking online and our flight price (SW) would drop if we stayed 2 more days, and I found a great AP rate at a value. It is so tempting to extend, but I wonder if DS and I will be tired of each other at that point, also, should I really use 2 more days of leave. DH says I should just do it....

A little late to the party here, but I'm finally official! Will be going September 19-26. I finally pulled the trigger on a flight earlier this week. Usually I'm looking at least $500 to fly. They had a flight for $300 and I only had to shave one day off my reservation! Booked my FP's last Saturday and made a few dinner reservations this week. Nice to have something to look forward since time off this summer wasn't in the cards!
Will be there 21-29. Can't wait. But I need my hand to heal more first

Agree. We used up all our points and are staying value this time:scared1: I am bringing my coffee pot, toaster, etc:rotfl:Even though I have to pay to park this time, I still love driving. If the buses are slow and I have an ADR, just hop in the car and go. If there’s a hurricane like last year, I can leave early or late and not worry about flight cancellations. We drive almost 16 hours once or twice a year. Just leave around 9pm and drive all night when there’s no traffic. With gas stops, and food breaks we get to Disney around 2-3 pm. I love the flexibility of leaving when er I want, having my car, packing whatever I want.

We are 24 hours. I need one overnight each way to be doable. Two and the drive is a mini vacation!

We also live in GA and drive overnight.

What part of GA are you from? We're in Cleveland!

It's a north Georgia party! I'm in Gainesville/Oakwood and know both Cleveland and Winder well! I couldn't agree more with both of you about the fly/drive thing. We got APs for the first time this year and have made the trip several times with only 2 stops. We, luckily, have a 2 and 4 year old that sleep really well in the car. I just can't justify spending the money to fly when you really only save an hour.

We leave on the 15th for our final trip with APs. Hoping to get them again in the future, but are waiting to see how this September trip goes. We've loved it in the past, but the FP+ and reservation availability kinda scares me that it may be more crowded than in recent years in mid-September. We did a spur-of-the-moment January trip this year and LOVED it - Great weather, low crowds, not hot!

Oh that is great to hear...I was wondering when I would get the DME tags. I swear in previous years I usually get them not long after I make the DME reservation (which was in March). But that gives me hope that next week I will get mine :)
We get our tags anywhere from 4-5 months before our trip to 3 weeks before, no rhyme or reason; it's a guessing game lol! And the same goes for my clients; sometimes theirs come within a couple weeks of setting up DME while others don't come until shortly before their trip, even if DME was set up 9 months prior. A total crap shoot. On the one hand it would be nice to know when they're coming, but on the other hand I guess it keeps the excitement going for awhile checking the mail every day to see if they've come

Oh okay, thanks! That is good to know :) I was starting to get paranoid that I threw them out by accident or something lol

35 days! Hooray! And this week is going to fly by...I have to take my daughter shopping for back to school supplies tomorrow, then down to my brother’s in Annapolis on Wednesday and to the beach with him and his family on Thursday and Friday, and then the Bryan Adams concert next Monday! I have loved Bryan Adams since I was like 6 when that Three Musketeers movie with his song came out lol, so I am so stinkin’ excited!

And then my sister-in-law and I bought tickets for Michael Bolton, because we have belted his songs out while drunk at karaoke so many times and figure it is time to sing along with him in person lol

I live in the Augusta area but I grew up in Roswell, so I tell people I'm a north Ga girl!

We got ours ridiculously early for our January trip. I was so surprised lol.

Just found this thread! I'll be staying at All Star Movies the night of September 1st and then the Boardwalk Villas Sept. 2-7th! Can't wait!!

I just booked a last minute trip 9/29-10/3. Taking my mom for her birthday. The only resort I could afford that was available was All Star Sports. I hope we have a great time. I just saw that food and wine will be happening when we are there. I have never been there doing this before. Anyone else enjoy this?

Its nice for adults when you can stroll world showcase and sample flavors. It makes the week ends more crowded with locals, so you might want to plan your Epcot day for the week days.

Making my fast passes tomorrow morning. I start work at 7am, so I’m going to have to try and do them quietly on my phone. I pray the mobile site will be working.

We drive 9-10 hours from Alabama. Financially it just doesn't make sense for us to fly. I can drive for $125 round-trip. I have flown a couple of times when there was only an hour difference once I add in travel time to the airport, getting there 2 hours early, waiting for DME and then being the last stop on the resort route. I hate being at the mercy of the airlines! But, now I have to pay parking fees:(
