2018 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 30 to November 12, 2018

If you have the time you could enter through the IG, grab a few snacks near by and take the friendship boat from morocco to Mexico. I do not like the main entrance. IG is so low key.

Really? Lately it's been long lines and crazy. Volume keeps going up there and it's just not the easy entry it used to be.

I guess I'm thinking about what was offered in previous years for the Sip & Stroll. Several of the chef's would walk around World Showcase with the group, providing details on some of the menu items at the kiosks. There was generally a lunch provided at the American Adventure with members of the F&W team who provided details on that year's festival. Also, the event covered two days, not one. More was included in previous years at a less expnesive cost.

The last one I did was several years ago and it was a lot like this year's event. Everyone I met who was doing it agreed it was a rip off. That desert reception was a HUGE letdown.

I was able to book from my pc, not the app, but now I'm getting this message:
disneyworld.disney.go.com is currently unable to handle this request.

Yay! Thanks to you all, I got the candy sushi booked for my daughter and me. It will be something for us to break away from the others and just do together and maybe make it more special for her

Yesterday I couldn’t get candy sushi for our entire week and this morning a lot of times opened up and there were openings for exactly when we wanted to go plus some.

Thanks so much for posting this! I was able to book for October 21st.

The Disney Food Blog posted more details on the dance party. It’s of no interest to me and I’ve never even heard of the Radio Disney group they mention (or Radio Disney for that matter) but I do think it’s cool that they’re adding more things that appeal to kids. Holding on Fri and Sat nights is an interesting choice.

My daughter used to listed to Radio Disney all the time when she was a pre-teen (She is 28 now). In fact when the movie "Dinosaur" came out she won a trip for our family to Dinosaur National Park in Utah from Radio Disney. She won the flight, accomodations, rental car, the whole thing. It was an awesome trip.

We will be in Disney during the Food and Wine festival. My husband is pretty picky. I am assuming that you have to get the food as is from the booths is that correct? For example, you can't ask for one of the sandwiches not to have a certain topping or sauce etc.

It kind of depends. If they assemble it in front of you at the booth you can ask then to leave the sauce off etc. If it’s cooked and put together in the kitchen you’re stuck with it the way it comes. Sandwiches are generally assembled in front of you so if the sauce is not on the meat you be OK, but if it’s already on the meat you’re out of luck. There’s not a lot of customization they can do

I found they modified a lot more than I thought they could. For instance they can’t make a sauce without butter but they can often leave the sauce off the dish because they put it on in the booth.

Good so maybe my DH will have some more options!

What’s sad is that Disney did something free for kids at food and wine and it’s full of adults.
Totally agree! We tried to book just for our 4 and 7 yo on 2 different dates and times. No spots available. I went a step further and checked every day it's offered at both times and nothing. I even called and was told it's all booked. The sad thing is it's going to be 10-13 adults making kids treats and no kids.
