S/O: Have you ever approached a “suspected DISer?”

On the “Inviting someone to the DIS” thread a few people, myself included, mentioned times they’ve suspected a stranger might be a member here because of their Disney clothing, yard ornaments, etc. Have/would you ever approach someone you don’t know to ask if they post here? If you have, was your assumption correct?

I’ve considered doing it once or twice but never followed through. I always think, what if they tell me their user name and my reaction is “Ugh! That’s who you are?!”

I came to realize that a threesome I was seeing in the BWI club lounge was CRResort fan and "his family". I talked to his mother but not him.

Ok the beginning of that sentence :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I've been at work since midnite think I'm getting punchy.

Not in my are but I have in both WDW & DL if I see a lime green shirt.

No but a Disser spoke to me at the Atruim Lounge and during the convo we realised we both posted here.
It was nice to put a face to the words:).

I ask everyone when we're at the parks. "Are you a Disser? You? how bout you"????? and sometimes someone says "Yes!" and they ask if I am and I say nope and walk away :drinking:

Really though, I do wonder all the time. I seen a lady get out of her van at Ingles with the pass holder decal on her back window. Didn't approach her though.

No, but I became friends with a few on Facebook and I use a Disser for my travel agent, and I gave another Diser my sons name out in NYC and she is his travel agent. I met my travel agent once at WDW and she was with a group of women that were all meeting at ESPN. We did not know each other yet, but became friends later. We laugh that we pulled up a picture of us in the group and we didn’t even know each other yet.

What made you recognize him?

:rotfl2: This is awesome. I plan to do this on my trip in September.

Years gone by, I seen 3 Disers at WDW, I knew for certain who they were, but didnt blow my cover

They always posted pics of themselves, and I knew they were there at that time, it was a real long time ago. I cant remember there names could someone help me

1.The one lady got a divorce, and married a guy on the dis, and she worked the jeep on the tour of Africa, I believe she has died

2.then there was this grown man who always carried a stuffed skunk with him, and had all the characters take pic f him and his skunk, lol

3. The last I remember, Uncle Kyle, he was a popular poster here who was about 20 and went to work at the Disney College program, and worked at the star wars exhibit, I come in and seen him, he was the closest I come to identify myself
