Winging it with No Dinning Plan! A Feb. Trip Report

I must have noticed before but I loved all of the wires in this scene. Wires everywhere!

"Henryyyyyyy! He did it again! Go over and give that neighbor of ours what for!"

COP was a perfect thing to do next, it allowed us to Cool off and for Gwen to rest a bit more. There was a lady behind us who was FULL on asleep. Like snoring and all!

I guess it's a good place to nap for some people.

We noticed this kid holding up a sign. Which I thought was super cute. I have since learned that you can ask CM for the signs. They have them at the restaurant.

I have never heard of that! That's fun!!!

At first they weren't too excited about taking the picture.

Here is there progression over the years. They were both shorter than the sign and now look at Morgan!

I just love this! What a great idea. I hope you have a collage of them somewhere in your house!!!

I just recently read somewhere about the signs for It's a Small World!! We like Pinocchio's Village Haus, so now I'm thinking we'll have to try to get an early lunch there so we can do this

Tiki Dole Whips

My kinda vacation day!

I love seeing how much the girls have grown in the annual photo! It breaks my heart a little when I realize how big my baby is now, but I really love this idea of an annual place for a picture.

I really don't know... It has been too long to remember and it looks like she is all twisted and possibly has a 3rd arm...

I just recently read somewhere about the signs for It's a Small World!! We like Pinocchio's Village Haus, so now I'm thinking we'll have to try to get an early lunch there so we can do this

E is still little enough, you can find a spot to start the tradition too! Maybe there is a spot from a pst trip that you can use?

Day Six: Avoiding the Crowds

I left off with us heading to Swiss Family Tree House.

The girls have seen this movie, and love it. And the first time we did this after them watching it. They LOVED it. We usually do it once a trip. And the girls ALWAYS comment on how they got the piano off the boat and onto the island...

Gwen did in fact walk this herself... I def did NOT carry her up and down the tree house!

I did give her another piggyback ride from Swiss Family Treehouse over to Mickey's Philharmonic. I had suggested that next, as it would be cool and we could sit in there. (And I love it!) It was about 2:15-ish and it was still very crowded.

When we got over that way, we saw this scrim that popped up since we were there 2 days ago.

We headed into Philharmonic, we headed into the main area.

I snapped a few pictures of the posters as we walked through the que line. Which by the way, was kind of annoying to have to walk back and forth through the que when there was no line.

We grabbed our glasses and headed in to decide which doors to stand near. We went towards the back ones, as there was no one standing in front of them. But then, I mentioned, that would mean we would need to move all the way to the end. So we wiggled through the crowd to get more in the middle of a line to hopefully be more in the middle of the row.

The opened the doors and we went in.

We got middle-fish seats and had a great show. I do wish they would add more to this show, maybe some newer characters.

After the show was over, it was just about time for our Splash Mountain fast pass! And we were ready to get wet!
We headed over that way. I checked the wait time for Big Thunder Mountain as we walked over and saw that it said only a 20 minute wait! So, we debated which to do first. But I ended up saying that we should do Splash First, because I didn't want to miss our fp window, as the wait was LONG for Splash.

So, we took our chances and went and used our fast passes.

There was a bit of a back up in the fast pass line, and Morgan started to worry that Big Thunder line would get backed up. But we were in line, so it was what it was.

I snapped some photos while we were in line. I also went onto the app and booked a 4th fast pass. It was slim pick's. But I was belt o get Tomorrowland Speedway for my driving crazy girls. So, we decided to ride Big Thunder after Splash then take the train over to fantasyland to get us closer to the speedway.

The wait wasn't really that long. And soon enough we were on the ride!

I love this ride! It was down for Refurbishment when we were there in September. So, I was glad it was open now.

The parade was going on, so I tried to snap a picture of the parade from the top of Splash!

The girls were a little disappointed, as we only got a little wet... They wanted to get soaked. Oye...

Up next, we headed to Big Thunder Mountain and an epic flight check-in!

Day Six: An Epic Check-In to our Flight

We headed to Big Thunder Mountain next. I think the wait might have gone up to 30 minutes in the time we were on Splash but that was fine with us. So, we got in line.

I am not sure if we have ever actually waited in the regular line. I enjoyed checking out all of the signs in the que.

We discovered the little birds in the canisters. They thought that was fun.

The girls also got to try out the explosives. They really liked doing that. They had a lot of fun pumping them up.

It was about 3:22 when we got in line and our check in time for Southwest was 3:45. So, I had set a reminder on my phone and found the web page on my phone to check in when it was time. Well, as we progressed in the line, my cell reception got worse and worse AND closer and closer to 3:45.

We were literally next to ride @ 3:45! I tried to check in while we waited to load but the service was terrible.

So, we got on our train at 3:46.

I think the girls were going to ask to be in the back row. I can't remember if we asked or if we were just directed to the back. But either way, we were happy to be in the back.

I put my phone away when we bored, and rode the first portion of the ride. But when we got to the part where you have to go back up, I pulled my phone out and tried to check in!

Andy thought this was hilarious and documented the event! I was trying to hurry before the drop came. The girls were yelling at me to put my phone away. It was def a scene out of a sitcom or something. Only I didn't loose my phone or anything like that.

But I was successful!

Since I had my phone out, I took a video of the girls on the ride.

We finished the ride, and had a great time! The girls yelled at me again after that I took my phone out on the ride. And we were all laughing.

We headed over to the Train Station after that, to ride over to Fantasyland.

I LOVE PhilharMagic! I could do it over and over again. It's so relaxing and nice to sit down for a moment.

I know this can never be avoided, but I hate seeing scrim. I know how necessary it is for refurbishments, but it just takes away from the atmosphere.

We decided to take an uber over to Boardwalk. It made the most sense and was def the fastest way to get there. We were at the Boardwalk by 8:48! TOTALLY WORTH IT!

We did this breakfast May 2017 and did an Uber too. Best choice we made all trip.

Our server came over shortly with our frying pan of pastries!

Yum. We enjoyed the pastries too.

It was a super short interaction, but again super fun and then they were off to meet some tables in the back of the restaurant. No idea what they are arguing about at the end of that video...

Flynn & Rapunzel were the best! Danielle Disney bounded Rapunzel that day and they both made a big deal about it.

All of the food was really good and we were very happy with all of the food.

We all liked our food except DH. He doesn't do fancy.

The video above, I thankfully caught this amazing moment when Flynn gave Gwen "The Smolder". She was sooooooo embarrassed. So funny! (I think Morgan was SOOOOO glad she was sitting where she was)

This was perfect for Gwen. I bet she's a big Flynn fan now.

I highly recommend this as a character meal. It was excellent food and Flynn was THE BEST!

I totally agree with you. I'm glad the girls enjoyed it too.

After our fantastic breakfast, we needed to head to the Magic Kingdom. But Gwen wanted me to take her picture as we decided she looked like Sailor Moon. And she wanted me to send it to my sister. So we grabbed her photo outside on the boardwalk.

I love her hair. She does look like Sailor Moon, future Cosplayer.

So, we waited and it came right at 10:15! Transportation WIN!!!

Lucky Duck!

Gwen didn't really want to let her but in the end she did.

We all have to share.

And Andy got to ride by himself again.

He looks pretty happy.

The whole ride I could hear Gwen saying "This is boring". And when we got off, it was the first thing she said. I was SOOOOO angry! Really she was mad that Morgan got to sit in the front. But she was all angry and sad at the same time and all she kept saying was how boring the ride was.

I'm feeling you.

We sat there for a good 10 minutes and let Gwen calm down. And then we talked it out. That we weren't getting stroller and that if she was too tired to walk then we needed to go back to the hotel. She was tired and it had been a long trip. But it was our last day. We left it up to her, that those were her options. After a bit, she said she would try keep going. We decided to go and get a snack. They hadn't eaten too much at breakfast. And it gave us some more time to rest Gwen's legs and feet a bit.

This was a good choice to calm her down and help her to see the big picture.

The girls actually enjoy this show as much as Andy and I do.

I have to admit sometimes, most times this happens to me.

The line moved fairly quickly. which was nice. We only waited maybe 10-15 minutes and before long we were on a boat!

We've waited in line for SW too. But it usually does move.

suggested we go get some dole whips and go watch the Enchanted Tiki Room. This was a huge hit of a suggestion. So, that is what we did!

Perfect idea. I want to come too.

The girls always love this. I know it is kind of a traffic blocker, really the whole ride is. But we usually try to stop.

Guilty of doing this too, especially when it's hot.

We bought these candies on our first trip 6 years ago. The kids loved them. Then, 3 years ago on our trip we looked all over for them, and they didn't have them. In March, we stocked up because they had them again. Annabelle calls them her special candies. They only get them for "special" treats lol.

Illuminations was not our favorite. I say wise choice skipping it.

I have no idea how I missed commenting on so many updates
I love the interactions with Flynn! I kind of want to do that breakfast but nobody else does, so holding out hope for May I think the pastry basket looks delicious lol.

Those last days are hard! You want to be happy but you know sadness is coming, poor Gwen probably just doesn't know what to do!!!
