Oh you need to expand your fast food there's so many better places out there. Steak n Shake, Shake Shack, Five Guys etc. I miss SnS as much as I miss InO.
Yeah - there's this place called Burger King which is amazing tooo...... JK JK JK!!! haha!

Wait...my good advice outweighs this...are you saying I have...good Karma?? We shall not speak of Karma here!!! OK OK humblebrag...my 3 mo. r/churning Karma topped 1,000 today, I was slightly pumped about that...Yes I live a sad life :)

Well, I think I was talking about actual, real karma related to churning, rather than made up internet karma, but OK! And I'm pretty sure that was just a brag, no humblebrag about it. But its ok, we all need validation and there are worse ways to get it

Where is a good place to research bank funding? These MSRs take me too long to meet organically!

ETA maybe I meant credit card funding? Not sure if these terms are interchangeable

Tuesday happy pending day!!! DH's Chase savings bonus finally is showing as pending. I thought it should have been here last week. Patiently waiting (not really I was just about to send a SM).

Looking for my next bank bonus. I have gotten Key flyers in the past so really hoping to get that one.

2 nights in SF and I had In and Out for dinner both nights...

A Steak ‘n Shake opened up in Daly City last year, and my wife and I actually much preferred the crispyness and juiciness of a “steakburger” to In-N-Out. Shake Shack is expanding to the Bay Area, with a restaurant opening on Palo Alto next month, and one in the Marina eventually. I’ll give it a try when it opens. I’ve passed by Five Guys, gotten tons of Amex Offers for Five Guys, but have never been!

@DisneyMandC I agree with the above! Between offers and coupons from Sam's and an Amex offer, my membership was practically free (my OOP was something like $2). I buy Disney GC's from them all the time, plus I've found plenty of other items I like buying from them that Costco doesn't carry.
Dosh has 5% off purchases and $20 cash back for new Sam's memberships.

Love steak n shake...so cheap! I take the kids there alot when DH is out of town. I really love 5 guys too but DH doesn't so I normally go there myself for lunch on occasion.

ETA: never had whataburger. Just tried in and out last spring break when we went to cali. I like it too!

Got my Ameriprise Amex Plat today. Just set up most of the account stuff - most importantly enrolling in priority pass in advance of Disney next month.

I didn't select an airline yet for my $200 bonus. Gonna think about that one. I really don't want MORE Delta giftcards collecting dust on my desktop.

Decided to go ahead and buy the small DVC contract I wanted direct - my guide has my points on hold until Friday when she's back in the office. She has a January reservation on hold for me too. So now I need to figure out what credit cards to get and use for that - I'll just pay the 10% deposit with a card I've already got... and will likely use the 6 months 0% on the Disney card because free money. I'm also looking at the Savor card. My guide said I could use as many cards as I wanted.

So SSR is $151 direct per point = $7550 - $200 [statement credit on Disney Visa] - $500 [Savor card cash back after $3k spend] = $137 diluted cost per point. That's how much 50 points resale is selling for now. I'll do the same process again next year for another 50, netting me my desired 100.

We are blessed and will not really notice this spend out of our regular budget. I live in wonder every day that I get to go to Disney and other places so often. We are very lucky here.

Yaaaassssss Five Guys! I didn’t think they had them that far west!

Oh yeah something else. A coworker used my referral link for the United card yesterday. She was mad and came to me and said "I got a message saying I will know in 30 days." I couldn't believe she didn't get an auto approval. She has one (yes one) credit card, which is a Freedom. 800+ score and two mortgages. She's in her late 50s and has a very long, clean credit file.

I felt bad and told her to wait it out. Chase is insane, I swear.

I'll go to McD's before BK, which was called Kinga Burger when I was little. Guess I got it backwards. I just don't like them any more, or McD's burgers for that matter.

I had Shake Shack a few years ago in DC and I wasn't impressed, I prefer Five Guys. There's a kind of Steak n Shake in DT Seattle but it's not totally the same so not worth the effort to get to it.

Steak n Shake is my preferred if I need a drive thru and quick, then Five Guys because they are good. I would go FG over InO too, I couldn't believe how much it had gone up. And it was salty and I don't just mean the fries but the burger. Granted, we don't add salt when cooking in this house, lots of heart disease, so my version of too salty is someone else's normal or not salty enough. Shake Shake is on the bottom. But really Dick's Drive in and Pick Quick, which is another local drive in with 2 locations, the better open only seasonally and the whole counter/kitchen area would fit in most people's master bedrooms, would be my top two choices always. Cash only at Pick Quick though so you gotta plan ahead for that one.

Congrats on your DVC purchase...:stitch::mickeyjumgreat she put a reservation on hold for you.:tinker:

So quick research shows Texas outward—> East to Florida (yipee!) with 1 store in GA, westward—> Arizona, not very far north (OK/AL/MS).

I didn’t realize it was so south/southwest primarily.
Now I feel even luckier it’s only half a mile away!

Not to be confused with What-A-Burger either. From Wiki - The What-A-Burger restaurants in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina are not to be confused with the much larger Whataburger chain based in Texas. Harmon Dobson, a different entrepreneur, established a "Whataburger" restaurant in Texas on August 8, 1950. He registered the trademark "Whataburger" in 1957, but the What-A-Burger trademark was registered in 1950. The Texas business eventually became a corporation with as many as 800 "Whataburger" franchises located throughout the southern United States.

What-A-Burger was close to my house in NC and another close to work so would go there sometimes. It wasn't anything to write home about but it was good and you could get SunDrop instead of Coke.
