I just find it amazing that at her age, 37 she was able to get pregnant right away. Granted so did I and many of my friends, one month off of stopping the pill..but I was 29/30.

Reality is once you hit mid 30s,, your odds are really against you rather you want to admit this or not..

I wonder if they actually started trying before officially being married, or had help.. we'll see if there are twins. .. but math makes it most likely it happened after the ceremony. Not that that matters, IMO.

I hope them the best, bet Harry is very happy.

That is wonderful and wish them the best. She is 37 - I doubt many would have wasted time in case there are any issues/problems. Who knows.

Everyone (news) has been speculating she is pregnant. Will watch news to see when their new royal baby is due

And just heard Spring 2019 - she is 12 weeks pregnant as per ABC News and the "Royal's" overnight announcement.

I just love the speculation and so will I. I speculate that she is well beyond 12 weeks. ABC cannot have a confirmation how far she is as the palace would never announce anything like this.With her being in her first pregnancy, her physique and with thenright clothing she could hide a pregnancy well beyond 12 weeks. And I would think knowing the Royals they would’ve preferred to of done that and wait until after they got back from the world tour. Knowing how the Royals like to announce things in perfect order they would’ve preferred to of waited until after the invinvutus games. But of course this is just all speculation

I got pregnant immediately too at 38 & relatives of mine have had difficulty at 28.

Not really sure how it would be viewed - things have obviously changed. While their parents were subject to virginity tests and having the brides cloistered away under supervision prior to the weddings, this generation of young royals openly cohabitate in palace properties. Pretty sure Charles moved Camilla in too but of course pregnancy wouldn’t have been an issue there.

CORRECTION - not their parents, their mothers. Male royals have never been held to such scrutiny, nor have their dalliances ever been criticized.

Of course there has to be a scandal. Apparently Harry and Meghan told the royal family of the pregnancy at Eugenies wedding and are now being accused of trying to upstage Eugenie's wedding. Honestly they can't do anything without someone trying to cause trouble.

It’s really hard to say with any certainty when a women’s fertility will decrease. I had a baby at 38 without “trying”, my mother had her youngest at 42, and my grandmother had her last child at 45.
I have several friends in my social set having babbies in the 35-40 age range without any fertility support. On the flip side my sister in law needed a lot of help to have her kids in her mid-20s. Doctors use “averages” but that doesn’t take into account the incredible variety of the 3.5 billion women in the world.

Its funny, I just read an article showing how she has been hiding her pregnancy for a few months. She wore a ridiculous dress with ruffles down the front that made her look incredibly pregnant. She has also been holding "props" in front of her for a couple of months like binders, flowers, clutch purses etc. I don't think she did a good job hiding it. LOL.

True may woman get pregnant with no help later in life. But ask any gyno, your chances Signifcantely decrease over 30.. It is a simple FACT women should be aware of, when planning. It's a bit a lie how celebrities are having twins, babies over 40 and then a young woman thinks, hey then I can have my 20s and 30s to do whatever and THEN I can think about kids.. For her it might be too late.

The longer you wait the higher the chances you wont get pregnant. We wanted to wait but my Dr. said each year reduces a woman's chance by 3 or 4 %. We like to think the odds are in our favor, but they are not. some got lucky. Same gyno on the other hand tells me now at 44 that I still need to be on birth control.. He said my odds are slim to none, but many "slims" have gotten pregnant.. the few % seem far off, unless it happens to you. I had two friends have kids with 36 and 38, but both were on clomithine ??.

I agree the announcement says she's had her 12 week scans and all is well. Her mom began the preparation to move to the UK in August an I believe it was to help Meghan with the her pregnancy and her the baby. I think she probably at least 4 months. Spring begins March 20th so she could have gotten pregnant as early as her honeymoon.

Agreed and I'm sure if she's 4 months on her tiny frame she definitely showing once the coat came of. Plus they were heading on an Australian tour after the wedding so people would see.

My mom actually got pregnant when I was 16 and my sister was 15 so she was in her late 30s. For some people getting pregnant is definitely not the issue even in their later age. Unfortunately my parents lost their baby during the pregnancy and I think that is more fairly normal.

As I said, who knows.... ABC read and posted a “quoted” statement from the royals. The newscaster emphasized on the word overnight. The news came overnight.... time difference, etc.

She can be 3 months or 4 months. ... whatever it is/she is, Congrats and the best to them!!!
