Quick Weekend Trip to Disney
Hi Everyone!
So I was not intending on doing a Dining Report for this trip since we were only going up for one night and I booked it last minute a couple weeks ago. BUT then we were upgraded to the most amazing room ever and I needed to share!
Quick overview:
Room was upgraded at Grand Floridian to the Victorian Suite in Club Level
Lots of Club Level Lounge food
Dinner at The Wave
Lunch at Satu'li Canteen
So I had gotten sick at the end of my honeymoon cruise and had almost cancelled this trip because I wasn't feeling well. I had hoped I'd be better for this trip and wasn't, but then it was too late to cancel so we had to go. I'm so glad we did!
We were going to go to Epcot originally this day, but not feeling well we ended up getting a late start and didn't get to the hotel until 3pm. Rooms are normally ready by then, but we were told that ours was still being cleaned and they'd text us when it was ready. I looked at the app and noticed that the room category had changed to Victorian Suite. I didn't even know what that was and had to Google it. The Grand Floridian has four exclusive suites that cannot be booked online: The Walt Disney Suite, Roy Disney Suite, The Grand Suite and the Victorian Suite. The only info I could find for pricing is that it costs a couple grand a night at a minimum. Wow!
So we were whisked up to the 4th floor club level lounge to wait for our room to be ready. I've never stayed Club Level before and was just so excited to be on the higher floors in the main building where I've never been allowed before.
It's probably really silly, but I couldn't stop looking down into the lobby from there, I've always dreamed of doing that from one of the higher floors.
When we got there the food was in the in between times, but I did grab a couple cookies before everything was cleared out. Their sugar cookies were awesome.
We got a notification our room wasn't quite ready yet, but I think it was an accident and it was supposed to say it was ready because a few minutes later we asked if there was any progress on the room and they were surprised we hadn't been texted.
This room. OMG. I've never stayed in such a nice room in all my life and probably won't again. It's room 4008, located on the 5th floor and has four balconies! This was the main entrance. Off to the right is one of two bathrooms.
Looking into the living room.
This room even came with it's own umbrella!
One of two TV's in the room. The bar below the TV is a sound system.
The living room! This space is bigger than most hotel rooms.
The dining room table with real flowers in that vase.
Into the bedroom with a king sized bed.
