ULooking back they were probably right but I was almost an “adult” so my parents didn’t know anything.
you know in the last 10 years both my parents died, but up until there death, I still hid stuff I did they wouldn't approve of from them. lol
Oh, me too! Made the mistake of telling my mother (When I was in my 40s) that I had enjoyed a little of the illegal smoking substance as a teen and you'd have thought it was the end of the world. Didn't share anything else after that, and SUPER glad I hadn't shared anything before.
lol, what were you thinking
I really don't know. Even at 40-something the line: "Mom, everyone was doing it!" holds no sway.
Ya I don’t tell my parents much about my personal life. The again it hard to tell them too much when your don’t even know what it is.you know in the last 10 years both my parents died, but up until there death, I still hid stuff I did they wouldn't approve of from them. lol
When I was 40 my DMom was 90 but she was still my mom - KWIM? Her response to the bolded would have been “Hmph...well if everyone else was jumping off a bridge would you do that too?!?”I really don't know. Even at 40-something the line: "Mom, everyone was doing it!" holds no sway.
