Thousands of gallons of perfectly good drinking water, soon to wasted in oversized bath tub.
Nice.
I'm still waiting on the other mud holes to finish so they can get started on mine. It rained this morning and we are forecast to get 3 more inches of rain by Friday.

I hope you have an adequate sunscreen plan, tiggerdad.
Back in the day when I was a lifeguard (yeah, I was sorta skinny once and tan) Hawaiian Tropic was the oil of choice (no creams back then - this was 1980). Knowing that your pool will create LOTS of new friends for your kids, you should have some 5-gallon buckets of SPF 50, SPF 30, and for the frequent visitors, SPF 10-15 around late July through Labor Day. Encourage your guests to apply sunscreen liberally to avoid "the burn".
I recall that our flip flops created "racing stripes" across the tops of our feet. By the end of summer, I was using baby oil only. Those. Were. The. Days. Knock on wood, I have not paid for it (yet) with melanoma or other skin conditions.
Have fun and do a cannonball for me. Tomorrow's forecast is for the warmest day of the year thus far (89F) and I am not far from you. Time to lay in a base layer of tan and get ready for the summer.
Have fun!

Two people at work (one in their 30s, another a bit older than me) had their hips replaced and both said they were up and going in a few days. The 30 year old was back at work in 4 days. They told him to use a walker the first week, but that lasted until noon the first day.He reportedly was back at the office the next day (Tuesday) after his Monday surgery last week.
I remain utterly jealous of your southerners that get such a longer season! We've had glimpses of spring here and there, but it hasn't taken hold yet. Right now, it's 41 and the 2 week forecast barely has us breaking 60! We're 24 days out from our first trip of the season. I'm really hoping we see a shift soon!
folks on there (Teamubr, SouthAlabama5er ) are tough old birds ....

I didn't make the "old birds"!
Everybody has a price. And I prefer to call it "realism", not negative...... as opposed to Teamubr whom I have cast as the grumpy, negative Nelly, can-be-bought committee member.
I think we jumped off those rails too far back.PPS - we may have to divert this conversation back the the GSP 4 thread
When will the Gulf State DIS Meet fit your family calendar? I've kinda stuck my neck out fer ya with the Membership Committee and some of the folks on there (Teamubr, SouthAlabama5er ) are tough old birds ....
