APs and Resort guests can now upgrade their magicband

MaryKatesMom...make sure you go back into your magic band order to confirm that the purple bands you originally ordered are showing there. We have a trip in June and I had originally selected a blue band for me and orange for my Mom...With this roll out of premium bands, my magic band selected has changed to green and red...those were the bands we order back in November for our Christmas trip. Not sure what happened to my blue and orange bands. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the premium bands will be restocked and we can get the ones we want...


I can't access my MagicBand info at all in Chrome. Had to switch to Explorer. The solid colors are available now.

Thank you for the suggestion. I kept looking at my Magic Band order and kept getting an error message. Switched over to Explorer, thanks to hvanes, and I can now see that I have my original purple and blue.

Maybe I'll try again in a few weeks my trip isn't until August. Frankly, I was a bit disappointed in the limited number of Theme Park specific bands, one castle and the SE band, or did I miss something? We were never into the characters as much as the park themselves. I have some wine glasses that have the WS silhouette that I love that would make a lovely band.
 
At first I was surprised too..... but since we are paying for them... and Disney wants our money!!! And... they need to get rid of the excess stock in the warehouse! Yep, now it doesn't surprise me at all. Even if you cancel your trip, they still have the $10
If you cancel, you'll be charged full price.
 


So ours came today, and 3 of them were the correct ones we ordered and the one for my oldest son is in plain yellow instead of the one we upgraded to. What number should I call to see if they can or will do anything? I would never have have upgraded the 3 of us and not ONE of the kids, and while of course he’ll get over it I hate to see him disappointed. He was the one who was most excited about his pick.
 
I wonder if Disney will ever get their heads out of their rears when it comes to rolling ANYTHING out? Their IT is shamefully abysmal. Every. Single. Time. The website, a joke. The fact they RAN OUT OF BANDS, embarrassing. Yet this nonsense happens every time they roll out a new party. A new event. A discount. A new this or that.

WHY???

Are they personalized on the back like the complimentary ones?

I wonder if Disney will ever get their heads out of their rears when it comes to rolling ANYTHING out? Their IT is shamefully abysmal. Every. Single. Time. The website, a joke. The fact they RAN OUT OF BANDS, embarrassing. Yet this nonsense happens every time they roll out a new party. A new event. A discount. A new this or that.

WHY???

Because it never affects their bottom line. We just wait it out.

We arrive at BWI in five days. I looked at MDE account and it says our magic bands will be available for pick up at the front desk. I declined magic bands :headache:.

I definitely do not want the grey colored ones. I’m hoping they do not have our names engraved on the back so we can decline a second time. So apparently the new magic band choice upgrade kicked out all previous requests.

They are supposed to be. When I ordered my Haunted Mansion band, they had me personalize it just like the plain ones.

We had a glitch with our order and main number gave us this number

Thanks. The boards went down before I saw these, and I remembered we are staying club level, so I called DSS. They knew what I was talking about and after putting me on hold told me that someone from merchandise should be contacting me about replacing the band that was sent plain with the correct upgraded band, it just would't be personalized. However, he said he couldn't tell me when they would contact me, and since we are leaving June 12th there isn't a lot of leeway, given they have to ship. So I'm not holding my breath, but we'll see.

What a terrible way of handling all of this. They should have contacted me and asked what I wanted to do. I would have had my son choose another band, and if that hadn't worked might have just had us all stick with the free ones. I would never have left it with 3 of us upgrading and one of the KIDS getting a plain one. It just irks me that the band we didn't get is available to buy on shopdisney. I mean, I get that they are different departments, earmarked differently, yada yada yada, but still, it looks bad and annoys me to know they have the band I paid for, but didn't ship it to me and gave me a plain one instead.

Today's status: 8 days left to customize, still cannot get in the page. I just keep getting the 7 dwarfs "technical issue" page every time.

If I didn't already have AP bands I would be livid.

I'm having the exact same issue, and the CM I talked to in IT said that they can't see ANY information in their end until the order changes to shipped, so until I get out of this weird limbo between "order confirmed" and "order shipped," there's no way for them to even see the order at all. They had no helpful reply when I asked what would happen if it never got out of this stage; they just said to call next week if I'm still getting the 7 dwarfs page.

No change. Still 7 dwarfs and I was told almost exactly what you were. 6 days left to customize, so I guess I have to wait a week to see a change?? ugh
 
Has anyone tried to order recently? Were you able to get your order in?

I tried to see if I could pick Bands for our APs and I keep getting Donald after a certain point.

I have 8 days left to customize, so let me know if you get anywhere! I wish they could at least tell me if I was going to get ANYTHING shipped to me.

Of course my 4yo has his heart set on slinky dog, and it's in store only on the Shop Parks app, so I can't even order it as a backup. Ugh.
