I would love to do the rhino tour! It would be nice if they had a PhotoPass person or even let the guide take a pic of you petting the rhino at least.

I agree! If you don't have an AP, you can even make it a rest-day with MK in the evening!

Nomad Lounge and Joe's BFF Arrives...

After a wild ride on EE, we all agreed that we were in need of food and beverage. Joe and I had shared a yogurt parfait and a croissant in the room (and I did eat a cake pop earlier), but that was not enough to keep us going...Either @buzzrelly or @ariane37 suggested Nomad Lounge, and Joe and I readily agreed! This was a new to us restaurant, and one we were anxious to try...Plus, it was air conditioned!!! It was a really hot day, so I knew the air conditioning and a cold, alcoholic beverage were going to be a great combo...

There was literally one table available when we walked in, and it was the center table that seats like 8 people, so that's what we took. We were in need of alcohol, so we all ordered drinks first. Joe had the Tempting Tigress and I had a glass of Sinaloa Sangria. Both were very good. I believe Joe had a second. As far as food goes, Joe had the Wagyu Beef Sliders, tomato pear jam, yucca fries. I think Kelly had this too, but I'm not sure... I had the Truffle Poutine, Truffle Tremor cheese, fries, crispy onions, black truffle salt. Both of these were delicious and I would order them again in a heartbeat. Ariane had ordered the Tiffins Bread Service, Tadka, spiced coriander yogurt, fig tapenade. She insisted we all try it, and it was very good too.

We sat around for a while, ate, drank and enjoyed each other's company. Soon enough, it was time to leave. We had a Safari FP to get to!! It was a good safari. We learned that a group of rhinos is called a crash and a group of flamingos was called a flamboyance...I bet you all didn't know that...

While on the safari, Ariane's husband, Steve had arrived at DAK and we were going to meet him in Africa, outside of the safari exit. Joe was so happy to see him!!!! I think he was looking forward to having another guy around. Plus, Joe really liked Steve the couple times we spent time with him, so it was definitely a win for Joe...


Next up, a Flight of Passage FP and I want to stick my hand where????

Mmmm, Nomad.... faves lounge anywhere. I've not tried the sliders yet (one of the few I haven't done yet) but that bread service is amazing! LOVE the fig tapenade! My go to drink is a Pisco Sour. YUM!

Flight of Passage was awesome! I can’t believe I was able to ride this again! It is definitely one of my favorite rides in all of WDW, and I’m so happy I gave it a shot...

After our ride through Pandora, we were all hungry again. Since Pongu Pongu was right there, we decided to stop. I had the Lumpia. This was creamy, pineapple goodness and I ate every bite. This had been on my food list for a while, and I'm glad I was able to knock something else off...

On our way out of Avatar, I remembered a Tim Tracker blog, where he told us about a secret in Pandora...So, I excitedly told our group that I had to find the holes where I could stick my hand...I know this sounds dirty, but it’s not. Everyone was like WHAT?!?!?! I quickly explained that there were holes in some of the Pandora trees. If you stick your hand in them you can hear the Banshees...Well, we found one. I bravely stuck my hand in it and had everyone listen. Yep, you could hear them!!!!! The Banshees were talking!!!! This was really cool and I’m glad I remembered to do it...I think everyone else wanted to try it too, and they did. Needless to say, we probably all looked really silly sticking our hands in trees...



Next up, @kastoney arrives!!!!! Woot! Woot! Now, we can really get this party started...

Its always great when the husbands get along! My girlfriend from my last job and I were really close and started double dating with our husbands and they ended up being just as good of friends if not better! lol

The Nomad lounge is like a hidden gem. That AC in the middle of a hot DAK day cannot be ignored!!
