Dressing "too provocatively" at Golden Corral

It’s not a flattering outfit and I’m not a fan of the boob tattoo, but I certainly wouldn’t have complained about her attire. It’s basically a two sizes too small Daisy Mae/Daisy Duke costume. I’ve seen worse at Disney parks.

It's not appropriate for a family restaurant in my opinion....she could have made a much better choice. However, it's not so extreme as to require her removal. Plus, Golden Corral. Ewww. Enough said. Disgusting food.
Curious, when was the last time you visited Disney? You see way worse outfits at Disney and that is considered the most family appropriate place in the US.

Not what I would have chosen to wear and I definitely would not have put this out there on social media. Do people not look in the mirror before they go places? I realize anyone can wear what they want, but just because you can does not mean you should.
Took the words out of my mouth...and yuck. Golden Corral= gross.

There is part of me that wonders if the photo actually shows how she was wearing this outfit, the top especially. The material appears to be very stretchy and can be manipulated so that it sits as seen or might travel up or down depending on how the person moves.

And don't get me started on some of the things we saw last week at WDW. I would have taken this outfit over the super short shorts worn by the 16-ish year old that showed her butt cheek crease as well as half of the globe of her buttocks. My first thought was "are you walking or are you working?"

Isn't Erie, Pennsylvania Amish country? While the Amish wouldn't be in Golden Corral, I have to wonder if that region is just more conservative in dress, in general, so as not to offend the Amish?

And, I think the same thing when I see outfits at any family friendly place, unless it's a pool or a beach. :-) I'm NOT one to say "throw them out", I just would urge everyone to think a little bit before they go out. This woman's outfit is too small for her body size. She's in denial about what size she really is. Clothes that don't fit appropriately are not a good look on anyone, regardless of what size they are.

Eh,, not really. As of the 2010 census, Erie is the 4th largest city in Pennsylvania, with a population of 101,786. It has been estimated to have dropped to 97k since then. 75% white. Poor (median income of $28k). While there are some Amish communities in Northwestern PA, I wouldn't call Erie "Amish Country". This isn't Lancaster.

Nope. Born and raised in Erie and there's not really an Amish person within 100 miles of the city.

Who drives an hour to go to the Golden Corral? You couldn’t pay me to walk across the street to go.

I agree with Hikergirl. If there was no dress code then this shouldn’t have happened.

I also agree if she had been a relatively thin woman or a teen there would have been no complaint.

I’ve seen some crazy stuff that I would never wear or would not want/allow my girls to wear but it’s not up to me to deem what is appropriate for other people. If you are bothered by what someone else is wearing in a place where there is no dress code you need to be the one to leave.

I don't think her clothing warranted her to be thrown out but I also wonder if there is more to the story. Now do I personally find her attire appropriate? No, but I also wouldn't complain about her. I see people dressed far worst in restaurants and such, which is why I wonder if there is more to the store.

Often you'll find with stories like this that the lady maybe was like completely falling out of her top or something. Who knows she also could have been wearing something else and is crying wolf on social media for attention?

Hard to say since we weren't there.

I was thinking the same thing - then I read the article and realized they actually went out of their way to drive an hour specifically to go there to eat. :crazy2::crazy2:

I read another article that said they had gone to the zoo and to Chucky Cheese so I'm not sure they drove all that way specifically for Golden Corral.

I ate at GC once, dh and I went on a road trip across the country and stopped at one in Texas IIRC. We were young and 'broke' and it was cheap and surprisingly good.
