Thanks! My little guy is a soon-to-be 8th grader Thank goodness I have plenty of wine, just in case. This was my DS11 back in 1st grade...all the way until mid October...ever.single.day.
The guidance counselor would have to peel him off of me, he was sobbing, he'd try to get free and run back to the car....ugghhh. I left crying everyday. His anxiety is part of his ADHD, so once we figured that out he is well controlled on meds.
I hope it gets better for your little guy. That is a big change for him so I understand his anxiety.
When I booked our stuff in Alaska, I couldn’t get anything to show up in the UR portal more than 6 months out.My 80,000 UR just officially posted (yay!) so I went through the Chase travel portal just to get some ideas on pricing for my preferred Kyoto hotel for late fall 2020. The calendar lets me go at least into November 2020 but all the area hotels say "we are sold out." Can anyone comment on whether they think all the hotels are ACTUALLY sold out, or is it just that you can't book that far out (but the Chase/Expedia website just doesn't tell you that)?
Ugh. Our Spring Break isn’t until 3/28.Reminder: SW flights release is 8/15 for dates thru 3/6. Of course, I need 3/16 for a week for spring break....more waiting...
How is your BIL doing?I love reddit. I post the story above here, have 4 likes so far. I post on reddit under the TR thread... I've gotten just enough support clicks there to keep me coming back for more, also I'm a glutton for punishment obviously, post currently is -1.
Gee, sorry this hobby has allowed my husband to visit his ill brother
It only took mine 7 days (applied 8/4, approved last Monday morning, arrived today)DH was approved for CIP. Yay! Now he refuses to call to expedite it. Claims we don't absolutely need it in the next two weeks. Is he insane? Of course we do! I think I don't play this game with 2 players, but with 1.25.
I’m no help, but just providing sympathy. I’d check the bags, they are more likely to make it I think. The two terminals you’re in are actually “kind of” close. I mean at least it’s not 1 & 3.Having a crisis. Flying RIC to Traverse City, MI through O'Hare this weekend. For some reason, I booked a flight that has a 48 minute layover and it looks like I have to get from F 12 in Terminal 2 to C2 in Terminal 1. Yes, I am an idiot! I believe we also will have to gate check our carryons (small plane from RIC to ORD) which will delay us further as we will have to wait in O'Hare for our bags to be brought up before we head to Terminal 1. So I'm thinking of identifying United as my airline on Platinum and checking bags. Anyone have any wisdom? I hate connecting flights but it's not easy to get to Northern Michigan!
ETA: And now I'm stressing that we may make the flight but our luggage won't. I guess I should plan accordingly. And my parents are over an hour from the airport.
He can be that way with you because he trusts you more. You are his safe place to land.Hopefully tomorrow goes smoother but it is DH's turn to drop him off. (and, of course, he will not act like that for DH.)
Thanks...Probably a silly question...but do you give the Serve card to the cashier and say you want to put $200 on it or am I swiping the Serve card...then the VGC
The cashier always uses my Serve card. I usually just hold it up and say “I’d like to load this”. Cashier takes it and swipes, asks how much. Once I tell her I swipe GC then PIN. I have only done it at DG though. You'll be fine!! I was exactly the same a few months ago and now this month I got 30K UR just from fee free gift cards from Staples. Also, I have never had to give my Serve card to the cashier. "I'd like to load my Serve card." If they look confused, try saying prepaid debit card. They scan a yellow card. You tell them how much, then you swipe your gift card. Good luck! I think the worst that could happen is the cashier has no idea what to do. Also, at FD only management or supervisors can do the transaction. Just so you don't get more nervous if they call a manager over.
Thanks. Going to do it now. No questions about why you need 2 accounts? LolYes, I have opened two accounts, one checking (I think) and one savings. Just start a new app, there is no way to do it from the existing app. They will call you to verify and then the account will appear on your login with your other one once you are approved.
Nope, especially since they were two different types.Thanks. Going to do it now. No questions about why you need 2 accounts? Lol
Ugh.... so last night my cat jumped up on the table and spilled DH’s full cup of coffee all over everything, including my ancient MacBook and charger. Well, it appears both are dead now. The light doesn’t come on when I plug the charger in and the computer won’t turn on at all. DH has an old
MacBook I’m going to dig out and see if I can get the charger to work on it, but I’m not hopeful. Im honestly not too upset about The MacBook itself since it’s from 2011, but it’s what I use for YNAB and I’m still on YNAB 4 and don’t want to transition to the new system! Might be time to look for a new computer and a new budget software.
And then there is me hemming and hawing if I should spend 52k x points for 4 nights at dolphin later this month.Just used 96k AA points for a one night Savannah view at Kidani Village in December. Will have my parents stay as well and I told them it is their Christmas present. I have always wanted to stay there so this should be fun.

For those who opened Great Southern Bank accounts, has anyone opened a second? (Money Market). I have one, but not sure if I can apply when logged into my current account or just start a new app like I don’t already have one.
CIP came today. Would love to meet MSR in one charge!
I LOVE that color. I have big feet too but I can"t find them on Amazon. Could you please share the link?
Do not transition to nYNAB. It is so bad. You should be able to look up the license key on their website and install ynab4 on a new computer. I did that fairly recently...maybe a year ago?
Three tickets SFO to PHL, nonstop on Alaska. I was able to get one ticket for free using miles. I have to pay cash for the other 3 though (no more miles). The options are cash of $725 or, 48,00 UR . I am fixed on my dates and need DH and kids to sit next to me. I see flights on Alaska that are as low $155 for other dates but this is right before the July 4th holiday which makes me nervous to wait.
Thoughts?
It does. Thank you.without much research, go for it. tickets are already 1/4 off since u have a free ticket with miles and ur dates arent flexible so theres that. id probably use $725 though, i always believe u can get at least $.02 per point with URs unless u believe in the free is free idea...
I know one way to check your pricing now is to go onto Hopper and see if they tell u to wait or book now. Hope that helps.
I have one that expired 7/15 with a 12 digit code, that I can give you (assuming it won't hurt my future chances of application).
I've gotten several others, but shredded them. The last one yesterday (just got caught up today).
Hmmm ... I also bet I could piece together that code???
Thank you, but the 12 digit code isn’t transferable. Thank you though for looking.

I opened two of the same account. They called and asked me why I wanted two. I said something about keeping expenses separate and they opened it.Thanks. Going to do it now. No questions about why you need 2 accounts? Lol
Omg you really didn’t have to do that.Ok, just finished taping all the shredded documents back together ... whew ... it's a 12 digit code too. JK
Ha, maybe if we were Europe he could partake but the wine is all Mine. While I'm sure the wine will help, personally I still think he's a little too young
.
No bonus just a great fast way to meet MSR.I think I missed the info on this one. Is this a bonus or just a way to fund with CC?
Omg you really didn’t have to do that.
Am I only one that figured when he said he shredded it that he was joking about taping them back together? Or was @Hoosier John on the floor with his shredder sifting through all those tiny little pieces just to help a fellow Disser?
