Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Shopping and Merchandise: Savi’s, Droid Depot and More!

So I fly the Falcon early this morning and we did alright. I went to Savi's later and they were like apparently we have an ace pilot here. So how well you do building repetition is true. I am known as an ace pilot.

Savi's was amazing. I refused to watch any videos and so glad I didn't.

I had to go back and switch a part of my droid. Apparently he likes the Little Mermaid. He went off during the voyage of the Little Mermaid.

Kylo Ren stopped me and tried to get me to join the First order. My mom left me. It was pretty funny because I wasn't expecting hin to stop me.

For the Droid Depot can you ship it home immediately after you do the experience? I do not want to bring on the plane with us and since you can't use in the parks I think with 2 little ones that is the better option for us. As far as Savi goes can you ship it home as well? Thank you

You don't want to abandon your droid too quickly! Droids interact with their surroundings in Black Spire. In fact, that's the main reason I made one. As a local I'll be visiting lots and want to have a droid with me to see what he does. Eventually I'm buying him a Resistance personality chip.

One thought, build you Droid, walk around and play with it in the land, when you are done, head to a shop and then ship it home. We have done this many times with things. As long as you have your receipt, they can ring up ship to home sale at any time. Doesn't have to be at time of purchase.

I did it on our AP preview day actually. Bought some the coats in the Resistance area and they specifically said they can't ship from there, as it would let the First Order track them easier. I took it to the store (Droid store actually) and had them ship it home.

went back to Batuu last night mostly to play with the datapad, my DD finally had a day off and she wanted to play in the land.
I took my RY-19 (Droid I built during previews) and he was as happy as a clam to be back home, he beeped and booped and people commented on him being so "vocal"
And yes of course I pretended to understand his beeps, my DD and I exited the Falcon and she was saying how she actually loved to be Engineer and RY beeped at that moment so I said " I think RY agrees with you:

Also the book just brings a next level of understanding, I was so pleased to find the Wishing Tree at Savi's

I wish I hadnt seen them, but as I've said other places.. If I HADNT seen it, I dont know if I would have taken the plunge and got a reservation for it..

I got the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition when it was released, and now I'm going to have to speed read it before my trip next week. The B&N edition did come with a lovely poster/map of Black Spire Outpost that I've been perusing (gotta know my way around before I get there! ). Glad to know it's worth the read before visiting.

Quick note I picked up my personally chip before and I went over and paid for everything together. Great time in Battu and great day in Hollywood Studios because of my time in Battu.

I had another trip to Battu planned I still need to get a Holocran. And ride the falcon but I like being an Ace Pilot and know it will not last my rep lol Til the Spire.

Has anyone had any luck with getting more than one guest into Savi’s with the builder? We have a reservation for my husband at the end of September and both my boys (6 and 9) want to join him to watch...fingers crossed but preparing for some tough negotiations!

I’d be surprised if they allow it. They were so clear in the rules and I think there’d be some angry patrons there who paid for multiple sabers so everyone in their family could go if they start allowing in extra people for free.

Anyone know if the lightsaber and carrying case from Savi's would fit into a "typical" artist poster/blueprint plastic carrying case? Trying to find a way to protect by lightsaber (blade only, I'll disconnect from hilt) a bit more as a carry-on item.

Our Hollywood Studios say for our upcoming trip is the 17th of Oct (Have our Ogas reservation already) so I'm hoping something opens up.

From my experience, you should have plenty of opportunities for a walk up, the waiting in lines will happen but the experience is fast and you should not have an issue to get in......

I found the case that is given to you after the build, it is quit durable and strong enough that nothing else is needed, to carry and or lug around. It is sort of like those swimming noodles with a hole cut in the middle, even the hilt has some padding, I carried it through TSA/airport/plane with zero issues and of worries about damage. I sat next to the window and it fit securly between my seat and the wall of the place, under the window as I was NOT going to shove it into the overhead bin and those tossing WAY too big and OVERSTUFFED bags in there, I am still baffled as to why they just dont check their bags in......

Yep, they should just go drop it off back at the resort room before heading to MK
