Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Another option is to catch the ESPN WWoS Sports bus at OPR-it will go to ESPN WWoS first and then to Pop Century.
This might be an option but not sure how often ESPN buses run. Heading from CBR
to either DHS or Epcot would probably be more timely.

OP, is there a particular reason you want to go to Pop? When we’ve changed resorts we’ve left our luggage at the original resort, gone to a park then after the park gone to the new resort where our luggage was waiting for us.

Sorry, you can't walk between CBR & Pop.

Quickest/simplest is Uber/Lyft/taxi/Minnie Van.

Free Disney mass transit, you'll have to bus to a park/DS then bus to Pop.

I'd really like to think Skyliner will be back up before too long, but who knows?
I think I saw somewhere that Disney was running buses for the skyliner route.

Fifties. Preferred would be building 4 facing building 3, and holding 5 facing building 6. I think those are the only Preferred (location) non pool view rooms.

Accuracy. Great that it doesn't matter to you. It matters to me. Saying the higher level hotel THe are a quarter of the size of Pop's is misleading (okay, wrong) information to anyone who reads this thread in the future.
That’s great that is matters to you! After a career in the consumer electronics field I would say that the original poster had the terminology correct... in the industry we speak absolutely that way

When the Hippy Dippy pool is closed will they move the pool activities to one of the quiet pools? Which one?

Yes, we have a group reservation that's kinda complicated, plus a separate reservation added on the last night. The CM on the phone suggested that we physically check-in instead of using the online version. She thought that would help our group get what we needed and keep our same rooms for the last night. We will be attending MNSSHP that night. So I thought it would be easier to go over to Pop that morning/early afternoon, and try to get us all checked in. Then we could head over to MK for the rest of the day.

Thank you so much for your advice! If the skyliner is still closed, it looks like HS would be our easiest option.

That's fine, but would you really claim a 32" television is 2 4 inches, thereby misleading the customer?

Not yet determined, at least the last I read.

Looking at doing a room request (through Touring Plans) for my trip in less than 2 weeks. I've booked a standard room and I'm thinking the 60s buildings would pretty much be my choice (since they're between the main entrance and Skyliner). According to the maps of preferred/standard rooms I've found, it seems that the 60s buildings do have standard rooms, but these maps pre-date the Skyliner... does anyone know if the preferred rooms might have changed with the Skyliner opening?

(I'm here for 2 weeks this time for my longest trip ever so hopefully will have a room I'm happy with!)

No changes of room categories have been announced so that maps you're looking at are current. I would be surprised if they don't change in the future but so far that has not happened.

Thank you - that's great to know! Will request for a room in the 60s then and hopefully will get one!

TP changed to 30 days on sending the request. Make sure you can still do it.

Thanks for this information... Wow things have changed since my last visit last year, was so used to the 5 day system!

Just checked the Touring Plans website and there's an FAQ that says that if room request is done less than 30 days before check in, the request will be sent the morning after request is filled out and an alert will appear on dashboard. So I'll keep an eye out for the alert/email and hopefully it will get sent!

I can confirm they are doing this. For our September trip I realized just 3 days before our trip that I'd forgotten to fill in our room request. I did so and the following morning received notification that the FAX had been sent. We received the location we wanted on a different floor and ended up being very happy with our location!
