“Life is Grand, it Yacht to be, we are at Disney! 1/29 New TR link, a question, and this TR is complete!

Boo :sad: We leave on 3/23. Maybe it'll work out for a quick meet.
I know! We don’t get in until evening, bummer! The flight costs were crazy!
Allie and I did this last week and looked around all the monorail resorts at the Christmas decorations. We then took the boat to Wilderness Lodge and ate at GP. It was a perfect evening
Sounds wonderful especially with the Christmas decorations
You look just the same and Andi looks so young
You are so sweet, Thank you!
Love it…of course, if there was no Baby Yoda I probably wouldn't be loving it so much!
Baby Yoda is awesome!
My Allie said the same thing. She much prefers TSM…she thinks SDD is a kiddie coaster
Those girls!
That seems really awkward. The only time I've eaten there, there was 4 of us so no hitchhikers. What would they do with 5, I wonder? Are the seats big enough for 5 people?
The first time we ate there, we were feeling a little awkward, now it’s fine!
That sounds really cool. I'm debating doing one of these tours in March with Mike. Which one would you recommend?
Both the tours in Epcot are wonderful, I think the WS one maybe better only because of all the construction in Future World.
That's crazy…especially at their Flagship resort :scared1:
It was such a turn off at the Grill!
Magic Bars; it's what's for breakfast ::yes::
So yummy, just like the macarons from Toothsome, love these at breakfast
literally JUST booked this tour a few minutes ago so reading your review is perfect! I know you had told me you enjoyed it and now I"m even more excited for it. Plus a cookie lol. But seriously it sounds fantastic, we've done 3 of the longer tours so far and loved them all. I've wanted to do Destinations Discovered since it started.
I hope you all enjoy this as much as we did! I think you will.
Ugh that stinks! I was going to say we always have good service there but there's also always off days everywhere...
We have as well, just a bad day, I hope. QS is a pain most times, TS so much better or the lounges these are great!
Wow you guys did! Kudos to the both of you, adorable
Thanks, it only takes Andi one time before she starts nailing the pictures!

This sounds like an incredible tour...definitely putting it on my list!
Wonderful tour, I highly recommend
Ugh!! I will never complain about our snow here again. It's funny, I always think of the US as being south of us but your area is actually north of Toronto. We are on the same latitude as northern California.
We have had more snow than what is normal in 2 months here. Literally 35 inches in less than 2 weeks so it stinks!! I feel like I am at the North Pole!
Bichons are the nicest dogs. My mom has one named Max and he is the sweetest.
Yes indeed, Buddy is my little sweetie always right next to me!
Your house is so, so pretty all decorated for Christmas!
Thank you so much! I am spending a lot of time indoors so at least it looks inviting
Will look for tha
Check out the rooftop at HM, very cool
Sounds like a perfect evening!
It really was, I love Finding Dory, so funny and pizza yum!
Who knows? Maybe some day it'll happen ;) Boy would I love to escape NY winters for life in Florida as a CM
You and me both, hopefully we can work together, lol!
Speaking of northern winters...
We are having such an early and bad winter so far....
Ugh, what a bummer. Oddly enough, that sounds eerily similar to my dinner last nigh
Chips and candy it is what us cool people eat for dinner :rotfl2:
What? That never occurred to me either! How cool. Disney is always keeping us on our toes
I learn something new everyday at Disney. Checkout the roof line next time at HM!

Hello Everyone!
You all can continue to feel sorry for me :rotfl: We have received 44 inches of snow since the week of Thanksgiving. This is more than double what is normal for a 2 month period.
It is crazy! I am use to snow, I have lived in Northern Minnesota and Northern Michigan my entire life, however, I am not impressed! It seals the deal for me to move to Florida soon! I plan to work from home, once Andi graduates from college, and live in Florida for 3 months each year! This is my goal and in reality it could happen as soon as 2 years from now, yay!!
Time to head back to Florida now with the last full day of our August trip! Today was Sunday 8/25/19. This day included AK in the morning and Epcot in the evening.
The post could be called “let’s be brave and try this again”, that is a huge pool of fish, did that teen gorilla just pose for us?, It’s time to Chunkydump with the Chunky couple!
We took our time this morning and actually went down to Gasparilla Grill, yes I know, we were brave! o_O The place was virtually the opposite of yesterday afternoon, thank goodness!
We ordered the kids Mickey waffle meal for each of us. Unfortunately, our waffles were a little on the hard side, not as good as we hoped. Hey, it’s Mickey waffles so still enjoyable.

We hopped on the bus and headed to AK. We arrived around 9:15am. So what do two Disney veterans do at this early hour? Well, they do A Bugs Life, of course.:rotfl2:We saw Kevin on our way to the movie. This path to the show is really amazing, take the time to check out the beautiful carvings on the Tree of Life. This is an attraction in itself.
We enjoy this show, there is always terrified children in here, is it bad we find entertainment in this? :sad2:
We decided to walk the Gorilla trails next. I highly recommend spending time on these trails. The morning is the best time, less crowded and you can see more of the animals and interact with the CM’s. We stopped to watch the CM feed the big turtle, he likes worms. The cute meerkats were fun to watch for awhile. We stopped to look at all the beautiful blue cichlids. We spent time talking with the CM at this exhibit. These fish came from Africa and they were dying rapidly there for some reason. Once at Disney, they thrived, in fact there are so many, Disney is giving some to Busch Gardens for the new African exhibit. Did you know, Disney autopsies every fish? They do, the CM explained how important it is to do this. It helps detect possible diseases and also if it was just time for the fish to die. We really enjoyed visiting with her and of course, learning more interesting things about AK. I highly recommend these trails, so fun!

Our next stop was the gorillas. The whole family was close by. We saw baby Grace. She was hanging on her mom. I couldn’t get a decent picture of her, however, a “teen” gorilla came by and posed for me. So much fun to watch!
IMG_Dec152019at73043AM.jpg

I was texting with Su-Lynn during this time. She was in Pandora with Steve. Andi and I headed over to say hi! They were in line for FoP so Andi and I shared a Night Blossom and waited for them. We met up and visited for awhile. The Chunkies are so nice! Very easy to talk with. Andi and I had a Dinosaur FP soon. We made plans to meet back up with the Chunkies to ride FoP together!
Andi and I went to Dinoland to get our Dino! Only one side was open, glad we had our FP, standby was 60 minutes! I love Dinosaur but I would not wait more than 15 minutes for it! The FP line moved quickly. We made our way back towards Pandora after our ride. We stopped for a few minutes to see the beautiful Macaws, the birds were flying around the Tree of Life. So beautiful!
IMG_Dec152019at73143AM.jpg

It was time to fly over Pandora with the Chunkies! We had a wonderful ride. It was so fun visiting with them. They were doing the SWGE preview again this evening. We had to get a Chunkydump pose before we said goodbye! I am hoping to meet up with @chunkymonkey again in January. :thumbsup2

Andi and I decided to try Nomads lounge. We were able to snag a table outside in the shade. The chairs are so comfortable. This was heaven, it feels like you are on a private veranda in Africa.

IMG_Dec152019at73501AM.jpg

I ordered the watermelon margarita and this was delicious. Very good for a hot day. Andi stuck with water.
We tried the impossible sliders, ribs, and the churros. Everything was delicious. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. The sliders were yummy. I have read some reviews of these being dry, we did not experience that. These were moist and delicious.

IMG_Dec152019at74138AM.jpg

What can I say about the churros other than so delicious! Crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. I loved mixing the vanilla and spicy strawberry sauce together, yum!!
IMG_Dec152019at74313AM.jpg

We didn’t want to leave, it was just so relaxing and enjoyable! I get the great reviews of this place now and fully agree!
We enjoyed this place so much we decided to skip our last FP at Rafiki’s planet watch. The animation class just wasn’t worth leaving the bliss of the lounge!
Yes, we did finally leave and headed back to the GF for an afternoon rest.
Nomad Lounge is a must for us now. 2 thumbs up for the food, drink, and our waiter!
Stay tuned for a wonderful evening at Epcot!

You all can continue to feel sorry for me :rotfl: We have received 44 inches of snow since the week of Thanksgiving. This is more than double what is normal for a 2 month period.
Holy crap. Um... how tall are you? Can you see????
I plan to work from home, once Andi graduates from college, and live in Florida for 3 months each year! This is my goal and in reality it could happen as soon as 2 years from now, yay!!
Whoa! This could be happening soon, then!
So what do two Disney veterans do at this early hour? Well, they do A Bugs Life, of course.:rotfl2:
:lmao: Of course!
We saw Kevin on our way to the movie.
She seems to be out quite a bit.
This path to the show is really amazing, take the time to check out the beautiful carvings on the Tree of Life.
Agreed! It's really something to see.
there is always terrified children in here, is it bad we find entertainment in this? :sad2:
:rolleyes1
We stopped to look at all the beautiful blue cichlids. We spent time talking with the CM at this exhibit. These fish came from Africa and they were dying rapidly there for some reason. Once at Disney, they thrived, in fact there are so many, Disney is giving some to Busch Gardens for the new African exhibit.
Huh! Really!
Did you know, Disney autopsies every fish? They do, the CM explained how important it is to do this. It helps detect possible diseases and also if it was just time for the fish to die.
That's really interesting. Every fish! Whoa.
I usually just flush them.
I was texting with Su-Lynn during this time. She was in Pandora with Steve. Andi and I headed over to say hi!
Nice. :)
The Chunkies are so nice!
::yes::
Andi and I went to Dinoland to get our Dino! Only one side was open, glad we had our FP, standby was 60 minutes!
No. That ride is definitely not a 60 minute wait ride. Not even close.
We had to get a Chunkydump pose before we said goodbye! I am hoping to meet up with @chunkymonkey again in January. :thumbsup2

This was heaven, it feels like you are on a private veranda in Africa.
Sounds wonderful! :goodvibes

That sounds like a lovely, low-key day at AK!

I keep hearing wonderful things about Nomad Lounge. I have no idea how I'll work that in for our upcoming trip, but one of these days I'll have to try it!

Ugh I'm so sorry the snow has been so relentless!

Sounds like a fun morning, especially since you got to meet up with Su-Lynn & Steve!

What a great lunch at Nomad's Lounge!

You all can continue to feel sorry for me :rotfl: We have received 44 inches of snow since the week of Thanksgiving. This is more than double what is normal for a 2 month period.
That's horrible! It flurried here last night while we were walking the dog and every other word out of my mouth rhymed with duck. LOL!!!

Nomad Lounge is a must for us now. 2 thumbs up for the food, drink, and our waiter!
Me too! LOVE this place and your margarita looked amazing!

I don't think I've read a single bad review of Nomad Lounge; I really need to get over there and check it out on a future trip!

Hooray for a DISmeet and a successful morning in Animal Kingdom.

What a lovely relaxed day at AK you had! I've never been to Nomads but it's definitely on my radar now as I've only ever heard good things about it. Your food looks delicious and getting away from the crowds to eat in peace on the veranda heavenly! I totally get finding it hard to leave :goodvibes

Not tall enough:laughing: crazy this early in winter! Snow banks are massive!
Whoa! This could be happening soon, then!
I hope so! 3 months away from this weather would be heaven!
That's really interesting. Every fish! Whoa.
I usually just flush them
I was really surprised about this! No flushing of fish for Disney :bitelip:
No. That ride is definitely not a 60 minute wait ride. Not even close.
Agree, it is a favorite of mine but not with a long wait
I'm sure @Steppesister will be thrilled!
She would be so proud of us!
Sounds wonderful!
Highly recommend Nomads!
