News Round Up 2020

Just wondering if this system is safe for individuals with pacemakers/defibrilators or if you have to do the physical shakedown like they do in airports. Any signs posted about this?
I have an insulin pump and plan to check with the pump manufacturer. I have found that different models have different tolerances for scatter/radiation/metal detection, and models more than a few years old are less likely to be "compatible". I imagine the same is true with pacemakers/defibrillators. Even if Disney said it was safe, I wouldn't take Disney's word for it, personally, just knowing how much medical devices have changed over time.

Well they're going to need some kind of airflow because otherwise those plexiglassed walkways would be total viral traps. That air would get very stale very quickly.
...or would airflow simply spread a virus around more?

Received a survey about my January trip to WDW based on what rides I went on, it asked me about Test Track and MuppetVision. Just thought I’d share.

I just got one for my November trip, and it targeted Toy Story Mania and Agent P's World Showcase Adventure for me. Not sure why the survey asked about Agent P, since a lot of the questions are moot due to its replacement with DuckTales…

I've been looking and cannot seem to find anything regarding the Skyliner. With the parks having different hours and such will the Skyliner hours also be changed from what they used to be?

So do we think the surveys are designed to 'feel' out what rides the public may want open more than others? Or rides that may present more issues with being open? I don't know the wording on the surveys though on the rides

That would depend on whether the air is being exchanged with outside air, and not just recirculated. The latter would be no worse than zero-to-low airflow. Also in the case of an exchange, it matters which way the air moves. Ideally you'd want use the tendency of warmer/moister air to rise, and pull air out from over guests heads. I assume, but can't tell from the pictures, that the plexiglass ends about a foot or so above head height. If that's the case, moving that air with some large fans, and allowing new air to be pulled in below the walls would be a lot better than nothing.

I don't know what's happening at Disney but our local gymnastics gyms (regular gyms are not open yet) are not allowed to use their fans right now.

I have not seen an operating schedule but they will be open.
