Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House Closed for Initial Walt Disney World Resort Reopening

Any reports on the club level dvc for jambo having food when it opens? They are still available to book..

I just tried a chat with MS to ask about bell services. He said that the Jambo front desk won’t be open until the resort side opens, all check in is mobile or at Kidani. He doesn’t know about bell services at Jambo. He said they only know what is in the email that was sent out and details are still coming to them.

Can you imagine doing mobile checkin, hauling your own luggage through the long hallways, finding your magic band and app don’t work to open the door, having to haul everything to Kidani to the front desk and then hauling it all back?

Will keep the Kidani front desk number handy to avoid that. MS told me to call it if I had questions that MS couldn’t answer.

We were there over the 4th and I think the pool crowd issue was unique to that weekend. Once the parks and Jambo pool open, I don't think you'll see a peak demand for the Kidani pool to the same extent. On Saturday the 4th, the pool reached capacity by 11:25am (overheard from a lifeguard) and then started to thin out by around 2pm. Early in the day Sunday didn't seem like a crowd issue at all, probably due to checkouts.

Also for Sanaa carryout - the breakfast plates were automatically packaged for carryout, but you could eat it at an open table if you wanted. During our stay, we also dined in for lunch with a reservation and had bread service and drinks at the lounge without a reservation. The lounge only seats two tables at a time, but you can order drinks in to go cups, so it might be possible to also order food to go from the lounge.

Can you tell me what the pre-packaged breakfast was? We will be at Jambo house on the 16th and want to know if it will be worth it to get or if we need to plan ahead with a Garden Grocer order

We absolutely noticed this. The resort was very empty when we arrived. I know for sure less than 50 check-ins one day. The CMs at arrival, the front desk, and lobby seemed put out that we were there. The food service CMs and recreation staff at the pool were great. My theory was that many of the people working the front were management who weren't happy they were working the front of house. Could be wrong, but it was definitely noticeable.
Or perhaps they felt it was just a bit too soon to open considering the state’s CV numbers

Bonus points😶. It never crossed my mind, will be at forefront tho next 2 stays there now lol

You can see the menu here: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/animal-kingdom-villas-kidani/sanaa/menus/breakfast/

The Grab 'n' Go items were the only things pre-packaged in a case when you first enter the lounge. All of the entrees you order at the lounge register and then they bring them out to you packaged up. We were staying close to the lobby, so it was super easy for us to pop down to Sanaa to grab breakfast and bring it back to the room. That's a tougher call coming from Jambo, but you can grab an open seat to eat there.

We had the Shahi Tukra French Toast and the Methi Paratha Sandwich and thought both were very flavorful. I also got a side of Coconut Drop Biscuits, which turned out to be just one little biscuit and not worth $1.99. But the breakfast options are definitely unique compared to some of the standard Disney quick service breakfasts and worth trying once if you don't mind the trek.

Side note: they also had 4-packs of Zebra Domes available in the gift shop refrigerated section.

Ooh, zebra domes! Awesome news!

I just read a post that said that Maji pool bar closed when it rained. The QS menu is limited, hours are limted, and then they close when it rains? Looks like UberEats, etc. should do some marketing at Kidani/Jambo...

I just received this email from DVC for our July 25 checkin. Looks like Jambo might be opening the DVC villas...

I have a July 25 date too, and just got this email. I called just to verify everything. I wish at least Mara would be open, but I understand it is what it is.

I know the Jambo front desk won't be open and checkin is at Kidani, but did they give you any idea of what level of Bell Services will be at Jambo?
Help with luggage? Grocery Delivery?

Shoot, she didn’t even tell me Jambo front desk wouldn’t be open. Lol I found that out just now. Didn’t share anything. I’m gonna call again next week and see if I can get some more info.

It says in the email that you need to either mobile checkin or checkin at Kidani front desk. I called to ask if that meant that Jambo front desk wouldn't be open at all, and MS said it would not be open and didn't know about bell services. Makes me a little nervous to have a whole building, with just a few floors open, and no staff?

I feel the same.

They will have some staff there. It would be too much of a legal issue to not have it.

Any thoughts on whether they will have animals on the savanas by Jambo?

There was an article in the Orlando Sentinel a while back about how they were caring for the animals during the quarantine. Essentially the keepers were doing what they always do. So the animals that live on Arusha were on Arusha and the animals that live on Sunset were on Sunset and the animals that live out in the park Savannah were out there.

That sounds so cool to me!

Not real certain why they don't just staff a couple of people at the Jambo decks though. Even BCV and VWL got staffed now and then and that was while everything else was open.

Me too! I am curious as to the CL rooms and if they are being given the food and drinks in some way?

Is Jambo House open? I haven’t heard anything other than it’s supposed to open July 10
