Thankful the almost 2 inches of precipitation that fell yesterday was rain and not snow! While one decent snow fall for the kids to be able to play would be great 2 feet of snow overnight is not neccesary!

Thankful it is almost the weekend it has been a week!

Today is the last day living in this house. I am thankful for the past 12 years living here and for my landlords, who have been great. I am thankful for my neighbors and this neighborhood.

I am thankful for the new house, the opportunity to move to Port Townsend and for the fulfillment of a dream I've had for five years. This time tomorrow I'll be putting the last few things into boxes and waiting for the movers to show up!

I missed yesterday. It was a busy day at work and the kids had a snow/rain day. The news hyped up a snow storm that we only got a dusting of and then just rain. Some schools over reacted and called a snow day. It was a great metal health day for the kids.

I am woohooing the kids snow day. DD went out with friends for lunch and DS got some rest. He had to work late the night before and sounds like a rough night sleep.

I am thankful that it seems like DD's ex is doing better. Both of them have moved into an anger stage. They both seem very angry and spiteful with each other. I was worried about him over the weekend and his parents as well and so wanted to reach out since I have been there before. But it didn't seem appropriate so I didn't.

Thankful for everyone here…it’s so nice to always have a place to come with the good and the bad, judgement free, sharing the ups and the downs!!!

Thankful for my family and my relationship with Jesus-had a lot happen with extended family over that past 8 months and I was lost at what the right answer was for me and how to move forward/establish relationships. I feel like I am finally getting some positive movement and I am hopeful that I am making the right choices. Lots of prayers and they are being answered, but on Gods time. Waiting was the hardest part, now things are falling into place

Movers are here. I had the girls shut in to the bathroom with food and their box but they figured out how to open the door and it was a stressful hell to at least get them into the office. Ugh, not sure how I’m going to get them into their carriers at this point. And they haven’t had enough of their stress drops, which are in their food… in the bathroom.

Edited to add… phew, somehow I got drops directly in their mouths and got them into their carriers. It is going to be a long scary day for them.

Some good news to share! DD's teachers are very impressed with her use of the speech device. The trial is officially over! The paperwork has been started to get her a device that is HERS and will be part of her IEP so it will be guaranteed. The progress she has made with it has been amazing...I was almost crying I was so happy at the end of the meeting. She'll have her trial device until her custom one comes in within the next few months.

I am not as excited about bedtime tonight. DH is at a work function so I am on my own (not a problem) but DD fell asleep while the DSs and i played a game and she woke up at 530....so maybe she'll be asleep by 11.

Got up at 6am this morning to get back to the West Seattle house and get the walk thru done. The moving went smoothly yesterday but it was a long emotional day and I’m ready to be settling in, not looking back.

It was an even tougher day for the cats. Around 7pm they finally got out of their hiding places and started to explore the bedrooms. For some reason Pippa is growling and hissing at Ester, hopefully she’ll work thru that today… at some point Ester is going to tell her to knock it off.

11am and I’m back at the ferry dock headed home… which sounds really strange to say.

The quiz was kinda right-I definitely like to do things at my own pace and I do keep to myself unless it’s to give a compliment or a greeting or catch up with someone I know…don’t like getting into gossip cycles.

Friday was great I baby sat my baby niece all day she was wonderful!! DH and I went out for dinner and drinks last night which was also great.

My sister told me yesterday that she took the first step to settling her part of our extended family issues and to say I am absolutely delighted is a understatement. I didn’t say one word to her about my plans to smooth things over/establish a relationship-she did it all on her own. I’m just delighted and so thankful that hopefully soon a large piece of this will be behind us all.

Today I did some food shopping in person because I could not get a pickup time….holy cow. I can’t believe I used to do that every 2 weeks. I felt like I needed a cocktail halfway through. I will be placing my pickups well in advance for a while that’s for sure.

Just got back from walking dogs and the SPCA absolutely gorgeous here for January-sunny and 52 all afternoon-I will take it!!!
