If we have a ticket that includes memory maker and waterpark option, do we have to add that option when bridging to an AP?
If you are upgrading a partially-used ticket, yes you must include the same components, similar to how if a FL resident uses a regular ticket on a weekend they cannot upgrade to a Pixie pass.

Fully-unused...in the past a fully-unused PH+ could be used to upgrade to an AP without waterparks. Possibly they've changed that rule or maybe you received incorrect info.

As for MM... could be since that is "non-refundable" they will require your AP to have MM as well. Again, not something I've heard before but could be a new rule -- or bad info from the CM.

I purchased the Pixie Pass for my family of 5 (fine with weekday only visits). Verified FL residency on-line, but wanted to use all gift cards for 2 passes that were purchased this weekend so had to call. Done. Used a combination of gift cards and CC w/ Florida address to purchase the kid's cards today. All 5 passes look the same in my Disney App but only the kid's Magicband AP discount offer is showing, so I'm wondering if we still need to verify FL residency at guest relations prior to using our passes (adults purchased over the weekend).

Does anyone know what non verified passes look like vs. verified passes? Would love to forego guest relations if possible, but not sure if all passes are good to go or not.

I'm not a FL Resident, but my understanding is you have to buy online or in-person to have the residency verified at purchase. Buying over the phone has no process in place to verify residency.

That is how I understand it. I seem to recall when buying our first passes online (we are FL residents) that we had to provide information from our drivers license. Disney has a method through a vendor to validate the information is correct.

Thank you! They were partially used for park admission but we did NOT use the Waterpark option. The ticket came with free memory maker however my son has Photopass downloads on his AP so I’m not sure how they’d technically handle that.

We did this a long time ago so I think I know the answer but just wanted to make sure. If you purchase physical tickets from Disney can you enter them on the app with the reservation number or wait on them to come in the mail to put them in? Last time we did it we had to wait on them to come but they were third party.

When you buy tickets online directly with Disney and sign into MDE you select who the ticket is for during checkout. You can either pick someone from your Family/Friend list or add them from the dropdown.

Now that APs will be on sale soon, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to do this. I have read that is is allowable for FL resident grandparents to buy grandkids (under 18) Pirate Passes.

If it is possible to do that, I would like them to upgrade the kids 8 day PH tickets to Pirate Passes? Currently the kids are in my (mom) MDE account, and the 8D PH tickets are in my (mom) account. I (mom) am not a FL resident so can't buy the kids Pirate passes, but Grandmom is a FL resident so can buy Pirate Passes.

Should I transfer the 8D PH tickets to grandmom's MDE account so she can upgrade their tickets to Pirate Passes? Would I have to make my kids a profile in her MDE in order to do this? Is it even possible? She has a FL drivers lic, so can do the online FL resident verification.

This is for e-tickets, correct? A friend ordered them through a travel agent who ordered physical tickets. She hasn’t received them yet and wondered if she can add them before they get to her by using the reservation/order number. Not sure why she ordered physical tickets Instead of just ordering e-tickets.🤷🏻‍♀️

Your friend can try to link by the order number in MDE. If that doesn't work, WDW IT may be able to assist in linking with the reservation number.

OK, so, tell me how I did here...I had 8 day date flexible parkhoppers that I bought in Nov 2019 from Undercover Touritst for a trip in April 2020. As you know, that trip got cancelled. Those tickets then "expired" at the end of 2020 and fell off of my account. I had to call 3 different times for someone to find them. They finally found them today. I am a DVC member and wanted to upgrade to a Sorcerer Pass, and explained to them that my next trip wasn't until January 2024. He said it was no problem and that I would get a "certificate" that expired in 2099. After I paid to upgrade, he said "oh,sorry, these are live tickets and they expire a year from today." Clearly, that didn't sound right to me. He transferred me somewhere else and after 30 minutes of holding, the other woman said "these are live tickets, but the date doesn't start until you use them". Now, that makes sense to me, but given I have been given plenty of incorrect information so far, does that sound right to you?

Also, they actually gave me slightly less than what I originally paid as credit, forget about bridging to today's prices. I was just happy that they found my $2600 in tickets that I didn't balk. What should have happened in terms of my credit?

edit to add: It seems to me like maybe they gave me the amount Undercover Tourist paid for the tickets, rather than the amount I paid. It was about $90 less in total.

What you receive is a certificate or voucher that must be activated within 1 year from purchase. At the time you active (first use), the AP expiration will reset to 1 year (365 days) from first use. So both CMs you spoke to were partially correct or maybe just didn't give full details -- the first didn't actually clarify that it was the voucher which expires in a year and the second didn't indicate the limit on activating the voucher. You can no longer buy up vouchers and hold them for years; they expire and turn into credit like regular tickets.

There is no more "bridging to today's prices." You should have received credit for the value of the ticket if you had bought direct from WDW on the date you purchased it.

Thank you for the response. I paid $2,620.76 from Undercover Tourist in 2019 for four 8 day flexible date parkhoppers. I'm assuming that was at least $200 below Disney price at the time, but I don't recall. I got $2,530.44 in credit towards my APs. I'm pretty sure that is wrong, but I was just so happy that they found anything after so many calls that I didn't want to run the risk of "losing" it again.

If your kids don't live in Florida, why would they be entitled to Florida passes? Not trying to be a jerk about it, but it doesnt seem fair.
It is clearly allowed by Disney and even advertised on their website that FL residents are allowed to buy FL resident tickets/AP for themselves and for kids and grandkids under 18, even if they don't reside in the state of FL.

So.... Disney allows Grandparents to buy grandkids Pirate passes. In my situation, described above, do you think I should transfer the kids 8DPH tickets to Grandmom's account so she can try to upgrade those tickets to Pirate Passes?

If I bought base tickets on 2/24/23 when will they expire?

I would've waited to purchase had I known that Disney would start reselling AP's. We'll be in Disney the last week of April.

I was thinking of just buying AP's outright on Thursday and saving those 2 day tickets for an AP renewal in April of '24. Will they drop off my MDE on 2/24/24? They were $627 for 2 tickets so I want to make sure they don't disappear. I did buy them directly from Disney.

It might be easiest to transfer them to grandma, but if they already have theme park reservations attached those will be lost with a transfer. You’ll lose those if you transfer them.

What dates did you choose? Expiration of regular theme park tickets depends on designated start date and length of ticket.

So right now I have them for 4/27/23 to 4/30. Does it make sense to keep moving the dates or just let them expire and take the credit?
