“Mommy, can we go see SNOW WIPE at DIZZY WORLD?! … PEEZZZ” A March 2010 PTR w/pics

There's a sight I've been on for a couple of years called "Tour Guide Mike." It does cost money... I forget how much.. cheap though... maybe like $14 or $20 or something but it's on the honor system once you pay. They ask that you re-up your membership after each "trip" to WDW to help pay for the site. I have never been so I have never re-upd my membership and all has been well. :)

Anyway, it's a PHENOMONAL site for dates/times/touring/crowds. I highly recommend it. It is definitely more geared towards WDW than DL but there is good info on both. There are several key posters that post to both sites here on the Dis and on TGM (Tour Guide Mike).

Thank you! ;)

Thank you! :goodvibes

You are so very welcome!
:goodvibes
That hotel is fantastic for the price!! It is so pretty! what a great view you are going to have too!
Thanks! We LOVED it! I seriously cried when we left last time. The room is bigger then my condo. Plus they had daily maid service. ((not sure if they still do anymore)) It's going to be nice to have all the amenities because of the baby too.

P.S. I somehow missed the hotel post. It is BEAUTIFUL! Lovely, lovely, lovely. Nice work

Thank you!! Sooooooo OFF TOPIC ~~~ You need to watch the MTV movie awards tonight. They're going to have the 1st Movie Trailer for New Moon!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Before my DD was born and I became a stay at home MOM I worked in the Airline Industry for 8 years. I was lucky to fly free wherever I went. We’ve traveled quite a bit since then, but have driven to all of our Vacation destinations.

Needless to say I haven’t purchased a plane ticket in over 13 years and I’m STUNNED by the cost. :scared1:

Right now the average cost seems to be around $1, 288.00 for three tickets! HOLY COW!!

For those of you who are more experienced with flying do you have any advice? Is it better to wait till closer to departure, or is it better to purchase FAR in advance? Are there any secrets to getting better airfare?:confused3

I can’t convince my husband to drive, which honestly I don’t blame him. :drive:The last 3 years we’ve driven to Florida once, Vegas 3 times, California 3 times, and Seattle once. The poor guy just wants to sit back, relax and get to our destination in 3 hours rather then 3 days.

I won’t lie flying scares the POOHpooh: out of me, but he’s paying and has agreed to fund my obsession of Disney once again, so I can’t complain.

DH and DD on one of our MANY road trips..((aren't they precious))

Okay, I'm in..

I'm not the one to ask about airfares, but I tend to look everyday until I find a fare that looks good. Ask around and see what a standard rate from CO to MCO is and then start looking at airlines....

You can post all the pictures as you want as far as I'm concerned....

YAY!! I'm so excited the Hot, Sweaty, Asian guy has decided to join me! :worship:

I'll be sure to post lots and lots of pictures. That's the BEST part of any TR in my opinion.;)

Hey! I just love that resort! Yes, airline prices are costly! Especially since you have to pay for your luggage now. We are only 6 hours away from the mouse and we tend to drive but last year when we went to DLR, I scored great prices for our airline tix by playing the waiting game. I checked prices everyday and then when I found a decent price, I purchased the tix. Sending pixie dust your way for cheap airline tix! ;)

I love sleeping pics!!!!!!

Oh and I agree that TRs with lots o pix are awesome!

I think that resort that you are staying at is awesome!

:lmao: I love sleeping photos too.

Here’s a few of my favorites. I didn’t realize how many sleeping pictures I take until you mentioned it. The last one is my ALL time favorite. Wouldn’t it be nice to be a baby and to have the ability to sleep anywhere, anytime?!?

popcorn:: I'm coming on board. I love all of your pictures. My family gets so upset with me and my camera. Congrats on the new baby. I might have to look into the place you are staying for our 2010 trip. Not sure when we will be going then but I really like going in Feb or March.

WHAT?!?!? You have to pay for your luggage now? Do you have any idea how much stuff I’m going to need to pack with a 3 year old and an infant!!! Is that for ALL airlines? Seriously, driving would be so much cheaper but my husband just doesn’t care. LOL. We’ve driven to Florida 5 times and is just not up for that long drive again. I guess I’ll just keep checking prices daily. Thanks for the pixie dust!!! :tink:

BTW did you get my private message?! I love the names you picked out. Did you get mine?

Welcome aboard! I'm glad to have another reader! I love when people chime in. I TRY not to take it to personally when people don't because I know they're committed to other posts, but it's nice to hear from other posters. I TRY to post a "little" something on each TR I read. So THANKS :thumbsup2

I definitely get camera happy when I’m on vacation, my family is used to it. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the CONGRATS …. We are super excited and Happy. We tried for a really, really long time so we feel blessed. :cloud9:

If you have any questions about the resort just let me know. They also have 2 and 4 bedrooms. When we went a couple years ago they were still in the building process and the resort was practically empty. We would have the entire pool to ourselves most days. Which was awesome for me because I tend to shy away from being seen in my bathing suit. The pool was great for my DD too because it had the zero entry and I wouldn’t have to worry about her falling in.

SHE LOVED it!

Hi Deanna,

Popped over to say hi and check out your PTR since you commented on mine! (Thank you!)

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Your daughter is adorable, just sooo cute!

And the hotel you guys are staying at looks lovely, can't wait to hear more!

Thank you!! Sooooooo OFF TOPIC ~~~ You need to watch the MTV movie awards tonight. They're going to have the 1st Movie Trailer for New Moon!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Oh sure, NOW You tell me ;) I missed it. I would like to have seen them winning all their awards but I do not plan on watching the New Moon trailers. The parts I hated of Twilight were the parts that had been drilled into my head so many times I wanted to spit-up when I saw them on screen (Say it.. OUT LOUD) :rolleyes2:

I actually quit going to the Twilight thread on the disboards :-)eek:) because I'm against hte spoilers. I will wait until after the movie to go back.

Great sleeping pics!!!!

Well I guess I’m going to begin the process of deciding on ADR’s.

~~~~~
When I took my DD to DLR 9 months ago she was pretty much terrified of all the Characters,:scared1: so when we did the Lilo and Stitch breakfast it was pretty much a waste of money, but my sweet niece and nephew had the time of there lives, so it was worth every penny to see them have a great time at least. :goodvibes((pictures below))
I think I might go ahead and chance it and do at least ONE character breakfast this upcoming trip, I’m hoping she’ll outgrow her fear by March.?!?:confused3
Since I’m new at the character breakfast thing, what are the best ones to do?!? Any suggestions would be helpful.
I’m going to make an ADR for the CRT for sure. She’s definitely into the Princess thing now, and she’ll absolutely pee her pants when she sees Snow “Wipe”!princess:
This is what my poor DD did the entire breakfast ~~ Clung to her daddy
What I had REALLY enjoyed about this particular Character Breakfast was that the characters actually spent time with the kids. They didn’t just hang around for a second, get their pictures taken and move on. So I’m really hoping to find a similar CBprincess: on our next trip.
Character Breakfasts at the Theme Parks are generally pretty packed out. So is Chef Mickeys at CR.
Check with others about Ohana, Park Fare or Cape May. These might be better as far as more character interaction.
We love character breakfasts/dinners because this is a way to take pictures with all of the characters and NOT wait in those lines in the parks! We are doing Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's in July. Last year we did 1900 Park Fare and it was really nice. We just love the Mad Hatter! Thank God Madi has loved all of the characters since she was 6 months old and is NOT scared at all! Lol. I will keep you updated and give you a review upon our return in 4.5 weeks! :)
Well I think you're missing out, it looks sooooooo good! Even DH is excited to see it. :yay: But I do understand your point.
I'm totally the opposite of you however. I love spoilers! I'm that stupid person that ALWAYS reads the last page of the book before I even start. :lmao:
~ The other day you and I were talking about the cute things that kids say, so I just had to share this with you.
DD had her head resting on my belly last night while we were watching a movie. I asked her if the baby was talking to her? She sat up and says "Mommy, Mommy I hear it, I hear it" ! I asked her what the baby was saying and she says "The baby is talking, and says RIBIT, RIBIT" :rotfl2:
Thank you so much for your input, I really appreciate it. I think I might check out Ohana. Mmmmmmm
You're so lucky that Madi has never been scared of the charcters. It's made our trips I little difficult sometimes.
One of the seven dawrfs came up to DD during the parade once, and you would have thought the world was coming to end! I've never seen a kid freak out so much. :sad2:
Subbing :goodvibes Loved your other 2 TRs and i'm sure this one will be awesome too. Love Reya's pigtails, she's really growing up :cutie: Congrats on the new baby too :cloud9:
Am in great pics of the baby:cloud9:. Beautiful.
Thank you! And welcome aboard! :goodvibes
Aren't you sweet!! I'm so glad to have you along for the ride.
I know Reya is growing up sooooooo fast!!! She just recently grew her hair long enough where I could put it into pigtails. When we went on our 1st trip to WDW I was hoping that I could get her 1st haircut on MainStreet, but alas she was bald as a que ball. So I'm wondering if I can go a whole 9 months without having to cut it so she'll still get that 1st haircut on Mainstreet. :confused3
I read you PTR... Your trip sounds amazing!! I'm jealous!! I want to go to NY sooooooooooo bad!! I'd like to go during Christmas sometime though.
OHHHHHH and thanks for the Congrats on the baby!!!:cloud9:
I have narrowed down my CHARACTER BREAKFAST selections down to the following:
**Ohanas
DL_OHANA_2401.jpg
**Chef Mickey’s
DL_CMB_2401.jpg
**Donald’s Safari at Tusker House
DL_TUSKER_2401.jpg
**Crystal Palace
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated
We will definitely do CRT one morning. I’m not sure if my SIL and her family will join us since her daughters aren’t really into the princess thing anymore. I would understand if they couldn’t justify spending almost $100.00 for breakfast for that reason. ((I hope they do though))
I’ll just tell the girls that there might be some vampire’s there ….. They hang out in castles, Right?!? :lmao:
DL_CRT_2401.jpg
So then we just need to decide on ONE character breakfast. I’m not going to do anymore then that cause we can save ourselves a LOT of money by utilizing our kitchen in the mornings for breakfast.
Now I need to think about lunch and dinners.
Mmmmmmmmm ……… I love thinking about food! :love:
I :love: O'hana's!!!! Yummy! Make sure you go there on an empty stomach! I've been to Crystal Palace for lunch and it was oh so good! I will be sure to take pics of food porn so that you can see all of those places. :goodvibes
