Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

I'm in! My top loading washer and front loading dryer are at least 20 years old, and still running. It helps that they are old enough for DH to fix when something goes wrong. He has no idea of what he is doing, but he's done 2 fixes on the washer and one on the dryer. It's a little nerve-wracking to see an appliance in pieces in the laundry room, but he's always managed to get all the parts put back in the right places and get the machine running again, so who am I to complain? (He also does laundry, once I sort it. He'll even fold it and put it away! Does all the vacuuming, cleans the kitchen at night, mows, shovels, does yard work and home repairs... he's a keeper! It's why I have all this free time to play on the DIS!)

Hi jevsie - ::yes:: I just knew you couldn't resist my "fake like" lure! Great to see you! :wave2:
Gotta share the lurve around.

Mind numbing boring spend of the day - getting a plumber out to fix the leaking tap in one of the paddocks. Got him to shut the thing off as never used it since I've been here. Only realised I had an issue when I got the water bill and water usuage was over double than usual. Sorry environment!

You called!?

JEVS! OMG! Jevs!!

You're ok. I was so afraid you were down under with something.

Now, I'll go back, and read all about your absence. :sunny:

Btw, I promised some Aldio's :teeth: a review of my latest adventure, and your invited to read it 'cause you know it's just gotta be all about ME! :snooty:

Oh! Oh! And, I'm calling it "The Great Indoors!"

Hi Jo! So glad you came back to play with us!! I bought a washing machine this summer, also, so I'm sure we could have fun talking about our washloads!!!

Sorry you were down and out with the flu but glad you're now feeling better. Ron's been doing real well keeping this thread going and "liking" all of us.

Not Ronnie! ME!! It's gotta be all about Meee...:snooty: Sniff...

Our washer & dryer have an aluminum finish. Washer is top-load, dryer front load. No idea how long any of it takes as the laundry room is across the hall from DWs home office and she is in charge of it. Disclaimer: I would happily assume responsibility for doing the laundry but I am not allowed to participate. I think it has something to do with the time I put DDs dry-clean only riding suit through the wash.:rolleyes1

OR, the pink socks! :scared:

This review reflects time spent at a Casino Resort...gasp! So... if you have issues with that than you may want to scroll on by.

The meeting place for the bus was in a Church parking lot. The Parishioners sanctioned this years ago by asking for donations from the tour partakers which helps with the upkeep of their property.

A bus, key word is "A" arrived on our time schedule, second key word "Our" as this was not to be our bus... sigh... She was newer, prettier all dolled up with a flashy advertisement for the Tour Company on the side of the "Pretty" bus; btw, this was a word I over heard an older senior use to describe "Their" bus!

Anyhow, ours arrived a tad later, not as pretty but, it had the amenities we were in need of so Eh!

Said bus, got us to the resort 1 hour ahead of schedule it's usually a 3 hour bus trip! Unfortunately, I'd only eaten a banana when I got up at 6:30 in the am so... because we met the bus at 8amish, and having been 2 hours on board; the realization that the buffet would not open for at least 1 1/2 hours was torturous to me. I do bring snacks on these adventures but, chocolate anything that early in the morning... meh!

So... we did the only thing that appealed to us, we hit the casino floor. As lady luck would have it the first $.45 I put in a machine that I'd actually had a dream about (remember we'd made a side trip to this "Bldg" while we were on our summer mini vacation) delivered not 100, 200, 300, or even 400 free games but, 480! Much to the chagrin of the others around me, I was elated!! :dancer:MODS, we need a female happy dancer.

Since it takes a while for these machines to play through the free games (if one chooses not to pick the immediate payout route) I love the suspense so... with more free games added on in the fray it took, a l o n g while. Dh didn't want to eat alone therefore he waited this out. $190.00 later we were at the buffet. :cool1:

Off to a great start!!
