If the safari is the same as the regular one except for the questions that can be answered, that makes it less of a draw for us. That was the one really appealing element. But I'll look forward to reviews since we won't be there until February.

(I'm also trying 11:30). I will keep trying since you managed 11:30 lunch and 3:00 show (which is what I want). I loathe having to call...

There might be value in having a smaller crowd in your safari vehicle as well. But, we won't know how small until that first report comes back

Well I booked for September 20! I will probably wait and see the reviews before deciding to keep it though.

I'm wondering if it's possible to combine 3:00 show with anything other than the ADR up to 12:05? No matter how many times I tried all I got was 5:00 with 12:30 to 2:30, and 6:00 for 2:45 and later.

Which does remind me, they must not offer the 4:00 shows. I didn't think I heard her offer it when I called and it never does show up as a time when searching online so I'm thinking it's not an option.

I was looking on MDE at 9/6 and on that day, every dinner before 6pm is being assigned the 3pm show.

The lunches from 1pm on are being assigned a later show though.

Interesting, I'm looking through on 9/1, 2, and 3, for 2 and all 3 days break up the same. I haven't looked at any later, we leave on the 4th

Oops just edited my post - I realized I hadn’t been looking at the late lunch times, only earlier lunches and then all the dinner slots. Lunches from 1pm and on are showing a later show, but all dinners before 6pm seem to get the 3pm show.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same now too. I'm thinking I'll have to call to get the combination that works for us. I had it perfect on Saturday but DH reminded me we have something else to do so I have to move it to Sunday now.

We have not seen the FoTLK in a few years---and I was out of FPs to snag one for a safari. So why not? I have a 2pm show, with the safari immediately after I was told when I booked. Our dinner is at 5:50.

We did the package today. I have to say it was totally worth the price! We had never eaten at Tiffins although I have been wanting to. Our lunch reservation was for noon. We were told we were the first.
We were escorted to our tablr and given lanyards.

We were given champagne for starters:


And bread:


We were given a choice of appetizer, entree, dessert and beer or wine.
I had the Kungaloosh beer and Peaches and cream app. DH had Tiger beer and Asparagus and lump crab soup, and DD a non-alcoholic drink along with cheese sampler.

For entrees both DH and I had the tenderloin and DD the chicken.



DH and I also got the same for dessert, the Tiffins sampler and DD ordered macarons from the kids menu:

And then settled the bill, which came to $316.31 before gratuity. We had some time to kill before checking into the FOTLK show so we met Mickey and Minnie at Adventurers Outpost. We checked in at the podium next to the exit of the show around 2:30. We were let in and escorted to the front row bench in the warthog section.
Show was fantastic as always, but even especially more so from front row!

Before the show started an Animal Expert came to out seats and introduced herself. She said to stay put after the show and she would come to get us. Before everyone exited the theater she came and got is and led us to Kilimanjaro Safari. We entered a safari vehicle at the exit platform after everyone had got off. We were the only 3 people on it besides the expert and driver. She gave us descriptions of the animals along with info on their habitats. It was very informative and fun to say the least to have a “private” safari.

This package incorporated 2 of my favorite things at AK and now Tiffins has become my favorite restaurant so the price was well worth the experience for me, and I would totally do it again.
