I watched it on the DVR this afternoon - BBC had great coverage and no commercials. They also explained a lot which I appreciated!
Maybe I'm just a sap for love but I adored it all; they are clearly in love and were able to incorporate things important to them throughout the service. She was glowing and the dress was understated, elegant, and allowed her beauty to really shine.
I'm a huge fan of the sermon - it's been shared a million times by my (fellow clergy) FB friends because of how outstanding it was. His delivery, content, and theology was spot on. And that he incorporated Pentecost with the fire analogy? Amazing. I can't wait to rewatch it! It's their wedding, they selected him, and he did nothing different than his usual preaching style so I doubt seriously they were uncomfortable with their choice. The choir immediately following him was perfectly placed in the service and very well done.
It was a tad sad to see her mom alone but I thought Charles did a lovely job escorting her, chatting with her, etc. I was thrilled that she got to ride in the car with Meghan to the church - I think BBC said that was unusual for a mother of the bride and I'm sure they both appreciated the 30+ minutes of time together in the car prior.
I'm thrilled for them and am hopeful they have a long, happy life together.
