If you have not been to the AKL it is worth a trip as the theming is very well done. You will not feel like you are at Disney World. BOMA is a buffet and has an array of meat options (i.e., roast chicken, turkey, salmon, slow roasted pork ribs, pork shoulder and spice crusted sirloin beef)… but again it is a buffet...all you care to eat. So it is not cooked to order, so expect some items to be overcooked or picked over by others. I use to recall they use a special blend of African spices which provide a new experience. Personally, you are at a resort, so there becomes a point where the resorts meal cost goes too far as we already know we are paying an excessive amount as we know what food cost. You will need to determine this factor. It is a unique experience and you can go to other places and most likely get a fresher prepared meal and have potential to spend less depending upon what you select. I always say, if you can't get peace of mind now, then change it to something that makes you feel good-comfortable about the meal you reserve. If you feel like trying somewhere new, something different in a very nice and unique resort, then give it a try. We have done both BOMA and Jiko when we stayed at the AKL and would select Jiko.
