Canadian Buffoon's Disney With a Teen Vacation - 08/13 - The Wrap

Well, I'm still hoping to start the TR
before I go.

I'm not sure either... for you!
I've seen how you guys pack!

Nope. Can't see it.
Says "removed by user"

Nope. Not there either.

Nope. Still no go.

Darn it. It worked for us here on the 2nd try. Either you broke it, or it was removed by the user.

Well, I meant it more like, finally you get to rest and enjoy yourself without other responsibilities. ;)

Yay!!!! 5 days now?? Wish wish wish I could be there!! Enjoy and have a safe trip, if I don't get back to here before you leave! :)

How about "Meat, Greet and be Disney" for the title?- you know you will be eating, greeting friends and doing the Disney thing / Judy

No...but it's it good to be the best at something?

Great... Awesome.... Wonderful...

I didn't realise you had such body issues....It's almost like your every female on the planet....

Actually... that's not funny, is it? No one should have "body issues".
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
"There are no ugly women. Some are more beautiful than others."

I reckon you could take down Iger.

Iger? Sure. I could take him. But all of Disney? Probably not.

I'm just trying to be careful - I can see it now - you, Lu and Katie have one too many grey goose slushies and you end up in the lagoon....

:rotfl:
Where's a Photopass Photographer when you need one!

"You're????!!!!"

Please tell me that was a brainfart.

I believe I answered this on your TR.

OMG, this has reached epic proportions of silliness and mayhem.

And that's just the way I like it.

(If I didn't love it , I'd pay 10 cents to leave a notion.)

Rhymes with lotion.

OK GGVI might have been in Chicago GG9 was in Cleveland. It was the Gay Games, which in addition to sporting competitions also includes cultural events. We went to play a concert that was really cool.

Ohh!!!
GGVI is GG
6!
Still would've asked since I didn't know what the GG stood for.

It is really cool that you only have to go back and forth across the esplanade.

I do like that idea a lot.

You have NO idea what I am capable of.....

Should I be scared?

I'll drink to that!

Thanks, Mary! :goodvibes

Not bad... not bad...

This is so... weird.
I'm sitting at home and it occurs to me...

This time next week...
I'll already be half done my Disney trip!

It IS weird how it can sneak up so quickly! But the way that's phrased is almost bordering on depressing.

Yes!!
I don't, actually.
I work
with controllers,
but I'm not one myself.
I'm support staff,
both for ATC and for pilots, in a way.
That's more correct.

My job is one of those
where it's easier to just say....
It's complicated.

It is... and it isn't.
Our profession is feast or famine.
There are times when you're sitting
twiddling your thumbs.
And then there are the other times...

We earn our money during the "other" times.

Sounds like we do/did something similar. I worked for an airline years ago, and I was in the Operations department. We basically handled it all - the pilots, getting the planes fueled, dealt with ATC if needed. There were times I was bored, times I was going nuts. Luckily, we weren't 24/7, more like 18/7, so we didn't work crazy shifts like you do. I usually worked the holidays though, since there was only DH and I, do that the other could be with family on those day.

By the way, I hope your daughter realizes she has one of the bestest dads ever! I had to teach my son some basic cooking before he went to college. Ugh!!

Have a great time at WDW. Wish we were going - except I might melt in the heat...

Good in theory - but it still means there is some sort of scale of beauty (from good to better at least) which will always make people unhappy unless they're at the top. And even at the top some of those women don't seem particularly happy either!

Iger? Sure. I could take him. But all of Disney? Probably not.

I reckon these guys would be your downfall

Probably laughing like everyone else in the area...

I've only got 5 minutes, so shout outs later
(or tomorrow... who knows?
I'm on vacation.)

Watched two movies last night.
One new, one not-so-new.

Started off by ordering some
Chinese food.
Then we all settled in and watched
The Jungle Book.

Good movie! We all enjoyed it quite a bit.

Later on, I watched...
well, I won't go so far as to call
it a classic, but...
Uncle Buck (with the late, great John Candy.)

Laughed a lot.
Man I miss that guy.

Gotta run!
Folks invited us over for BBQ.
Woot! Another day I don't have to cook!

:scared1: That is weird. Your trip came up SO fast. I should try booking "last minute" sometime instead of 12 months ahead of time. :scratchin Passes the time quicker!

The Jungle Book

I've heard good things about it. I've downloaded it onto my iPad to watch on my flight to MCO. :thumbsup2

The Jungle Book (I presume you mean the new live action one) was much better than I expected. I'm always hesitant with these live action remakes.

Ahhh! Uncle Buck. Now there's one I haven't thought about in years. I do remember watching it as a teenager back when going to the video store and renting a tape was actually something to do on a Friday night. I remember something about a pancake. And is that the one where he's on a plane and says "I know karate and I have the boots to match!"...or something like that. John Candy was great. If only....

I deal with dispatchers all. the. time.
(which, it sounds like, you did as well?)
A good one makes my life easy.
A new/inexperienced one... well...
Threats work.

Awwww.... Nah. Just doin' what Dads do.

I had to teach my son some basic cooking before he went to college. Ugh!!

 I take it from the "ugh"
that things did not go overly smoothly?

Thanks! And... I am a little scared of the heat.
Thank God for air conditioning!

<sigh> I know.
But ever noticed how a smile
makes a person look so much better?

I probably would lose to the little one.
I mean the little on in the little one's lap.

 Probably!
