Discovery Cove Amex discount code

There is a code for American Express AMXDM10. I don't have an amex card, so I used my Dad's card and ordered tix this morning. Saved over 400 for 5 tickets! It's 50 off dolphin swim, 80 off ultimate package!

Has anyone else been able to use this code to get the cost of Discovery Cove lower than $199? I called DC and they tell me that $199 is their lowest and the code won't work to reduce the cost below $199. Has anyone else had success in getting $149?

edit: I was able to use this code in August to get the $149 for my date in December so it is currently working for at least some days.

I didn't get the dolphin swim for less than 199. I got the ultimate package which is dolphin swim and includes 14 days at sea world, busch gardens and aquatica for 250 total. It would normally have been 330 for each ticket for the ultimate package. If I were just purchasing dolphin swim tickets, it would have been 199 each.

I was able to get $149 using the AMEX code but did have to use an AMEX card. You can't beat this deal -- it includes 14 days of unlimited admission to SeaWorld also!

Same here, scheduled for Dec 14th. I did notice many days in late Dec were up to $289 with the code, so it appears the price for Discovery Cove is varies with seasonal demands.

And I didn't have to pay with the Amex. I even called in and changed my non-swim to a swim experiance and gave the code to the person on the phone and paid with my Disney Visa, no issues.

Oh, Discovery Coves sells a $20 parking pass for sea world good for all 14 days at sea world! We added that to our reservation to discovery cove as well!

I have, just yesterday and the agent said the same thing to me. I asked her to try the code anyway. It worked, she was really surprised and happy for me

I believe, according to their website, you can change your reservation date once, for free. (restrictions apply)


Here's what I found on their website.

If you need to reschedule your Discovery Cove visit, one complimentary date change is allowed, pending availability. Bookings made within 3 days of original reservation date will be booked at the original rate. Books made outside of that time will be subject to change based on seasonal rates for the new date chosen. Please note: If you decide to cancel your Discovery Cove reservation within 30 days of your visit there is no refund. If the cancellation notice is provided more than 30 days from arrival, you will receive a full 100% refund. *Group booking policies may differ.

So you can cancel a get a full refund if more than 30 days from your reservation date. Less than 30 days no refund. You can change your date, within 3 days of original date, for free.

I didnt' realize they offered a 100% guarantee if over 30 days. I think I'll have to book ours soon, just in case.

I ended up just calling. I was able to get the rate over the phone and I used my Discover card not my Amex. Crazy price!!! The non swim was $49 and considering it includes admission to SeaWorld (which is normally twice that price) that is NUTS!!! So looking forward to this. Thank you so much for sharing this code!

It should not be an issue. You do not have to show your card at the gate.

Well I thought mom/dad had an American Express. Boy was I wrong. I asked allot of people in the family and really close friends and NOBODY had one. So I got this bright idea to purchase an American Express gift card. Guess what? It worked (after a few calls) and I got my discount even after the operator telling me that the lowest price they could give me was 199.00 b/c they couldn't take the 50.00 off to make it that cheap. So we are set up for our swim date of Sept. 14th!! I can't wait. So in total it came to 447.00 plus tax. I only spent 25.00 more for this experience than doing the VIP package and 2 days at SW.

So glad it worked for you. It really is an amazing price. Did you have to use the AMEX gift card? I was able to use the code and pay with it using my Discover card.
