anyone who booked a Cat V - what are the deposit rules and amounts?

I just booked three staterooms on the 4-night DD 2011 Christmas cruise for DVC points. I booked one Category T room (12526) for 572 points for each of two persons, and two connecting Category 6 rooms (10164 and 10166) for our kids for 211 points per person.

As expeceted the Christmas/New Year cruises are well over my $200 per person/per night limit....for a cat 11!!

Think I'll look at a b2b for my birthday in early November instead.

Got the cost breakdown from my TA: cat 5C stateroom 7572 2Adults $1398 without taxes or transfers for 4 night Dream cruise 9/25/11.

Psyched to get my first choice cabin.

I believe the deposit for any concierge level cabin is double the regular deposit amount. It is completely non-refundable, but it is transferable; based on normal penalty dates of course.

Thanksgiving 4 day Nov. 23 I think, 2A 1C 11b 2240.00 22fourty something.

$22 more then a 11c.

roughly was qouted $2400 for the early August 5 day double dip , $1200 for the 4 day second week November and just under $1000 for the three day right before the Thanksgiving. All those 11c.

That's so nice that those two rooms are next to each other.... and your kids are older so you don't need them to connect. I wish they had made them connect... It was too expensive for us to book two higher category rooms, but I would have loved the option to connect a verandah or oceanview room to an inside room.

We have the same two cabins (cat 6B - 7689, cat 11B - 7690) on a different cruise: March 13, 2011 (4 day)

We started out looking for an inside cabin across the hall from a veranda cabin but I think this side-by-side arrangement should work even better. Also, seems from the deckplan schematic that the veranda on this cabin might be a little private (wall on one side and there seems to be a divider on the other side).

2A, 3C (12, 10, 6) - $3,378.85 (reflects 10% OBD for cat 6B cabin) incl. tax, no ins, no transfers

This option was only slightly more expensive than a cat 8 (Deluxe Family Oceanview, no veranda) but with this option we get a veranda, much more space, and two washrooms!
