Do you have a "type"?

My type is the strong outdoorsy type. DH does very much enjoy the outdoors. Me, not so much (that makes sense, right? Ha), unless it's walking outdoors at WDW, haha. He is fairly quiet, but not afraid to express his opinion if asked. He would do anything I ask him to. And very smart and self confident. Not arrogant though.

I guess I am his type or he wouldn't have proposed. Lol

I don't have a type. I'm drawn to something I can't put my finger on. It's more of a feeling I get from someone I think.

Maybe Intrigue? Humour? Mystery? I don't really know. I haven't figured out my husband yet, so I guess he's my type.

I often say to my husband 'you're everything I never knew I always wanted' and it's true. He's 6'7", bald with a goatee. Definitely a first for me (and the last).

I suppose so. Since I started liking boys :) I've always like boys with brown hair, who are not skinny, and have bigger features, who are intelligent, funny, and like kids. And, yes, my husband fits that to a T.

I did have one crush in college who was blonde and I think red haired men can be very attractive, too.

I've been with DH so long, it is hard to remember. Also, we talked a lot online before we even knew what the other looked like, so looks weren't a big factor.

Anyway, I do prefer guys who aren't too muscular or too tall. I prefer dark hair and lighter eyes (not surfer dude). DH fits that.

Personality wise, I used to say I would be really into a liberal, hippie, vegetarian, join the Peace Corps kind of guy. I was going to go to Berkeley for college.
DH is almost opposite of that. He is more conservative, hunter (not really into it, but he does do it sometimes), ...then he went into military and law enforcement. (I respect him for being military and law enforcement, but a man in uniform isn't my "type." ) I've actually become much more like my DH.

We both share religious beliefs, love of reading/literature, strong idea of loyalty, rule followers, introverts, highly value honesty, etc. We were never party people. Neither of us has ever done illegal drugs...we didn't drink alcohol at all until college and still drink pretty infrequently. We both aren't big into sports. I've never been to a major sporting event...DH has only been to a handful. (Although DH has started following football and MMA some)

Yes, I have a type. LOOKS: Skinny boys with short dark hair and blue eyes. PERSONALITY: Intelligent, funny, and self assured.

I found it in my husband. :thumbsup2

The celeb crush I have is Adam Levine. When he went bald and then colored his hair I was very disappointed.

Do you have a stance on shaven vs. facial hair issue? I'm very, very firmly pro facial hair.

I like both, but facial hair has limits. No long beard, no solo soul patch (I can't stand that!), and no creepy 70's porno mustache. If you're rocking a Tom Selleck stache, that's ok -- few can pull it off.

Dh is clean shaven, but the man has a 5 o'clock shadow at 9am. :p I like him when he doesn't shave for a few days, but I'm not sure if it would look good if he grew it out. (He can't anyways, job.)

My SO is thinner than what I go for but everything else fits. Tall, dark, short hair and a bit of facial hair. Not a full beard. Guys I've dated are probably 30+ pounds heavier than him.

Personality wise guys I usually dated (and married) were "colder." Not in touch with their feelings or really have no feelings or just don't show their feelings. Selfish. I wouldn't say complete "bad boys" because I'm not into criminals but they have bad boy qualities. My SO is the epitome of a "nice guy." At first his qualities threw me off but now I see the light. lol

Sometimes you have to do something you've never done in order to get something you've never had.

True. There are definitely some bad facial hair choices. The solo soul patch is definitely a no go. I can do the long, well maintained beard though. Dated a super cute boy with one for a while actually.

I have a type - and I attract it like whoa. I have another girlfriend that has a type we call "plaid shirt" and she attracts them too. If we're out and a plaid shirt guy walks in - we immediately give her a hard time.

I find it interesting no one has mentioned a "style" sense very much. If there's a tall guy in skinny pants, a vest, a pocket square/bow tie, loafers with no socks, or ankle boots in the area, I'm going to notice.

:rotfl:And that would be an automatic "not in a million years" in my world. :rotfl:
