Hello!
Any suggestions on where to stop roughly halfway to WDW from cental NC? Anyone have favorite places in Savannah, GA or nearby? Specific town names and hotel locations would be appreciated!
Thank you!

Updated, sorry for typo. Leaving from central nc:)
We are in the road now. We have some health issues that make the 9 hour trip hard to do all in one day.

Typo is making it tricky to guess where you are starting - cebt al?

From NC is really not that long of a drive, you could really do it in one shot without stopping if you were feeling ambitious.

Last year on our drive down from NYC we stopped in Savannah and stayed at the Hampton Inn. We kept it low key and cost and ate at Cracker Barrel in Pooler but we did stop at Leopold's ice cream for dessert and it was great. Unfortunately I had waited too long to book our room and the Hampton Inn historic district was booked, so we stayed in the "midtown" Hampton Inn.

Since you're coming from NC it will probably be too short to stop there, but the two years prior we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Santee, SC.

Generally speaking I have always been happy with Hampton Inn and have stayed at them in various places.

Wait - did you mean to type "central"? That's about a 9 hour drive, isn't it? Are you stopping at night, or in the afternoon?

We have made the trip from the Triangle in one day more than once. When we drive to Orlando, we leave really early and we spend that 1st night off property. Driving home we don’t leave as early and drive straight home.

9 hours, yes. Central NC :) sorry for typo! We are driving now. Have some health issues that make it hard to do in a straight shot. We r driving at night.

We like Jacksonville - any of hotels near airport - as only a couple hours left until Disney. Makes second day not as bad.

Honestly though since you are already en route there are so many hotels along the highway just stop when you are tired.

We sometimes stop in Kingsland, GA. The Best Western is where we usually stay. We did stay at the La Quinta one time but never again. The place appeared clean but the room smelled like wet dog. We even moved to another room because of the smell but that room smelled as well. If it wasn't so late we would changed hotels. Yuck - NEVER Again!! Lol

We have stayed in a Hampton Inn at exit 3/Kingsland, GA a couple of times. We drive from Ohio and that exit is about 11 hours for us.
