ECV on Minnie Van?

How expensive was the ‘ecv’ Minnie Van if I may ask? DH struggling with lifting parts of gogo into rental van. Of course I help, actually doing most of the work. We plan on staying at Boardwalk next trip so less schlepping into the van to travel to parks. AK only park we would have to drive to. Minnie Van makes sense for that.
$33.05 to go from BCV to WL. I just checked my hotel bill.

Yeah, I know I saw someone post how to calculate the price of the Minnie Vans on the Transportation boards, but I can't find it at the moment.

Am I correct that accessible Minnie Vans can be requested ahead of time? Unlike a Lyft that likes you to be at the pick-up site when you order?

Yes, there is a number you call ahead of time and tell them where you want the accessible mini van. They say give them at least a 30 min heads up notice.

News just broke last week that by the fall time you will be able to use the Lyft app to request an accessible mini van. But as of right now you have to call the number.

Oh ok. That makes sense. Thank you!
I just remembered I have Lyft discounts. Guess I'll have to save them for rides requested off the app. Oh well.

Hoping someone might have this answer. We are staying at Shades of Green in Sept and will have one ECV. Can we utilize the Minnie accessible van service? We do not use magic band for charging services as Shades of Green is the military resort.

You should be able to use MinnieVans, since SoG is onsite.
Thanks, I know the Minnie van service is available. I am just not sure about the accessible van as people are saying you pay with magic band. Shades of Green guests do not have the use of linked magic band/purchase.

This is a really good question - and I think you are the first one here to ask it! :)

You may need to get some clarification from Front Desk/Conceirge services at SoG. In the meantime, I found this page about the Minnie Van service for you, and from that page we have this info:
Need an Accessible Vehicle?
Please call a Minnie Van Service Specialist at (407) 828-3500 to request an accessible vehicle. Requests can be made 45 to 60 minutes prior to needing the vehicle. Minnie Van vehicles can accommodate Guests with standard wheelchairs, motorized vehicles and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs); however, an additional wait time may occur.

I hope this helps a little! :)

Thanks for the response, I thought I would try here first as the answer you get on the phone is not always right.

I will try and call today hopefully, we do not go until September so just gathering information. Whatever I find out I will come back and share.

The info from the central call center cast members can be iffy or out dated, but what the cast members who answer the Minnie Van number tell you should be correct. They don’t just handle dispatch for the accessible Minnie Vans. They also book the airport Minnie Van rides and other special requests. My experience has been that they know their service.

Okay all this is how Accessible Minnie Van Service is being done currently for Shades of Green.. You call the number and they will send the required vehicle. Currently there is no way to pay for the service and is being done complimentary. As stated they are looking into adding this service to app and at that time it will no longer be complimentary as there will be another way to pay besides magic bands. I will be calling again before my trip and checking the current status so we can budget accordingly.
