I have seen mixed information regarding CMs coming to the dining room to escort kids to the Kids Club after dinner. We will have early seating on Wonder next November and kids will be 8 and 6 at the time of the cruise. If the parents/grandparents want to linger at dinner a bit longer or go line up for the show, should we plan to take the kids to the Kids Club ourselves? Either way is fine - just wasn't sure how it works.

We unfortunately don’t do dine and play for the early seating on the Wonder. If they want to come up to the Club/Lab, you will have to bring them. You can always bring them upstairs and they can then check themselves in, that way you don’t have to wait.

The current Check In procedure for Oceaneer includes the following language:

Outside Venue Policy
I give permission for my child to participate in Youth Activities programming in venues outside of the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. These venues might include DLounge, Walt Disney Theater, Sports Deck or other venues throughout the ship.

My wife is concerned about our 5 year-old boy sneaking away from a group and getting hurt or whatever, if they leave the Lab/Club. Do they still use "outside venues"? Is there an age cutoff? Can we deny permission for this? Thanks!

I don't work on the ship, and have only been on a cruise once, but given that we got off the ship less than a month ago, from my experience, I believe that's to cover the things they do with the older kids (we often saw the vibe & maybe (not positive though) edge kids doing activities out and about) and the "FriendShip Rocks!" show that the younger kids can choose to participate in on the last day (they brought all the kids down to the theatre and then back up to the kids club, and you had to get your kids from there, rather than leave with them from the theatre). I think that's the only activity that would be applicable here for a 5yo.

There are activities outside of the Club and Lab and it says where they are in the navigator. You can request that they do not attend these programs. There is no age cut off because all programs are available to the age range of 3-12. There are so many of us that there is no chance a child can escape. We are very well trained in our procedures and safety is our number one priority.

@Shay985 Are there toilets in the kids club that are small enough for a potty trained 3 year old? Also is there someone near the restroom to assist with pulling up their pants or underwear if necessary?

Hi I am not Shay but I am a youth activities CM. The toilets are child sized! And there is always a counselor outside the bathrooms but the children need to be able to complete the toileting process independently, including pulling up and down their pants

The toilets are suitable for small children, but they are required to be potty independent—staff cannot assist with pulling up undies.
