For a couple grand over a period of four months? On what planet? I actively use cards from Chase, Citi, BoA, AmEx, Discover, Wells Fargo, and Barclays. Every single one of my cards is paid off weekly. Never in my life have I had an account closed for cycling or gone through a "financial review" or any of the other doomsday scenarios that people throw out there.
Paying off your cards weekly and not extending your CL is not cycling. That is paying off your CC.

Maybe someone could point me in the right direction for more details -

I hear the new Resorts World casino in Las Vegas will load your gambling card with a credit card purchase. I also hear that the first transaction they won't charge you a processing fee. Then, you can turn around and cash it out.

Anyone know the best way to take advantage of this? Is there a max amount they will do fee free? Is this possibility still open?

Thanks. I checked too. It’s 5 per customer per day. Will take DW along and snag 10 today and see how many they have in stock since it’s through November 6th. Have 4 credit cards rolling at the moment that need spends made on them, so hopefully they have a bunch in stock since it’s in store only. They will, of course, only be used for Christmas gifts :)

I don't know anything, but thought it was interesting. Have read that you can cash out OBC in cruise ship casinos in a similar way. Found this when I searched, but maybe it's the same info you came across.

Need a new MSR. not sure what I need for currency these days. Not sure I want to try to tackle another $7500 right now with a 2nd CIC (but maybe). Thoughts on a Citi Premier VS US Bank Altitude Connect? Not sure what I can use either of those rewards for?

Keep seeing all these amex plat retention offers. I got mine end of Feb 2020 and paid the af this year, didn't ask for retention. Is it too early to ask now? I could use a spend to meet.

Well, my CIC was approved. Apparently, I just needed to verify my identity, most likely because of the fraud alert on my credit report. They didn't need to ask me for any other information. After all that and I was approved, I asked for the cards to be expedited. She said that she had no way to do that!! I just had to wait 1-2 weeks. I think it is because she was in the fraud/verification dept. I asked if any other dept could help me and she she that she didn't think so. Basically, she knew nothing except how to process applications.

So, I HUCA but this time to the regular biz recon number and was able to get the rep to expedite the card to me. Pheww! Crisis averted!

DH and I's next personal card will be the Citi premier. I think for the fee I could make use of the 80,000 points.

I don't think I've seen a CL that low since I was in high school.

Sure he could. A CL isn't a maximum monthly spend, it's a maximum outstanding balance. Spend $1K today, pay it off tomorrow, spend $1K the next day, pay it off the day after that, etc. He could hit the MSR in a couple of weeks if he's diligent about paying his balance daily.

(This is still incredibly annoying, of course. But not impossible.)

I was thinking about trying that, but wasn’t sure how strict they were about cycling CL. He doesn’t have a relationship with U.S. Bank so I kind of figured he was just going to denied, when he got the 7-10 days message. I was surprised when the email came through today that he was approved.
