March Check-In **Official** Thread (Start with Post #17)

Our dreams of Disneyland and Hawaii are gone- we are out - Ohio is shutting down- praying this doesn’t last too long and we can plan to go again soon.

Coming from Ohio in 6 days. I think we are right behind you. This was a "dream trip" for us, but issues are mounting. Disneyland is at the end of a 10-day SoCal trip. While we are excited for the first 5 but if a closure happens before we visit, it would be a partially wasted trip.

I know how excited you've been here planning this trip... and I truly hope that things still work out for you and your family. Pixie dust and fingers crossed for everyone on this board who is struggling with some very hard choices today and in the coming days.

We're still deciding...

I'm sorry to those who are cancelling.

Family reunion (we're coming from Canada, sister's family coming from Brazil), first trip for all of my family (wife and 3 kids) to Disneyland, first time I would do the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour....

I'm not afraid of going, but if Disney closes down (which I see it happening after NBA cancelled the season), it will truly be a wasted trip for us :(

We have a week to decide....

The list is being updated as I find people posting in other threads about cancelling their trips. If anyone here finds that they've been removed by mistake, please let me know so I can add you back!

Just to clarify - the NBA suspended it's season. They did not cancel it. They hope to pick up the games again after/if everything settles down.

Sorry, wrong word...
I meant to say "suspended"...

We are scheduled to go next week. After careful consideration and much discussion My wife have decided not to cancel. Even if the parks close we will find a way to have fun. That is really all we can do.

We are in the same boat with not cancelling as of now. We are still coming from Ohio if DL will have us. I am most concerned about getting there and having it closed, as we are booked at the Grand Californian and would hate to just sit there and look at a closed park for 5 days. Hopefully we will have clarity in the next few days as to whether the park will be open when we get there on the 20th.

I am in the same boat. My meetings the week before my trip were cancelled and the conference I'm attending the week after is up in the air (and likely to be rescheduled) but will know by early next wee. So that means my solo trip will be cancelled. I'm hoping they are able to reschedule for the fall or I'll lose my ticket to DL (purchased via airmiles) as I don't think I'll be able to convince my family to join me later this year. :(

I feel so bad for everyone cancelling! I am over here just hoping the parks stay open... just saw a news brief that theaters, casinos and theme parks are exempt from the gathering rule... so here’s to more hoping!
