New Carthay Circle Lounge option... with biscuits!

Just saw this on the DL website, as a sub-listing under the Carthay Circle Lounge! It specifically mentions the biscuits!!! Is this new or have I just missed this option?

You’ll be escorted upstairs to sit on the 21-and-over Carthay Terrace Lounge, where you can enjoy classic signature cocktails. Sip from a Carthay Circle Manhattan—made with Bulleit bourbon, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth and Luxardo cherries—as views of the park twinkle in the background.

A trip to this lounge is incomplete without indulging in our flavorful and exclusive food menu. The Fire Cracker Duck Wings are coated in Sriracha, lime and cilantro for those craving a spicy and savory dish. Or try the sumptuous Carthay Signature Fried Biscuits stuffed with delicious white cheddar, bacon and jalapeño.

Hmm very interesting! I hadn't heard of this before... must be a new offering. I wonder if they will have a separate line for the terrace lounge?

I haven't heard of this either, but it makes sense. The terrace is upstairs, which is where the deep fryers are for the biscuits, so it would make sense that they could offer more of the items from the restaurant menu out there. It also sounds like a new way to leverage the outdoor seating area, which doesn't seem to get used as often for the restaurant. I'm curious to see if this will be walk-up lounge (like the Carthay Lounge is now), more like Lamplight (which is a mix of ADR and walk-up) or something different. Maybe they're testing to see how well it'll do with the (likely) busy holiday season.

Whenever we make it back to DLR I anticipate at least one afternoon relaxing at this lounge!

Hmm I am due to visit Disneyland the 1st week of December so I will have to check this out. Sitting out on the terrace would be nice if the weather is nice that week.

This is something they’ve been testing on and off for a while now. I’ve experienced it a few times. I’m glad they’ve decided to make it permanent! I’ve seen them have a separate line for the terrace and I’ve also seen them pull people from the regular line. It will be interesting to see what the process is going forward.

I asked Disneyland Today about this offering and got pretty much the standard response (ask a CM at the location for details), but they did say this "The Carthay Circle Terrace Lounge is available to Guests 21-and-over on a first-come, first-serve basis." It'll be interesting to see if this is accurate, something that is selectively enforced, or enforced after a specific time.

The Terrace is going to be the restaurant menu and won't have the Lounge food, such as the tacos.

Do you know if it'll be exclusively for walk-ups?

If it is the same as it has been in the past, it is only for walk ups. You do not have access to the entire menu, only the appetizers, and everyone in your party must be over 21.

OK, so they have added an age limit, likely due to the balcony. Going to be interesting.

Has anyone been to this outside terrace for food and/or drinks lately? Wondering if you request it when you walk up to be seated in the lounge and also what the menu is like? Lounge or restaurant items or both? And is upstairs 21 only?

You request it when you walk up. IF IT IS OPEN. If it is too cold, rainy, windy, etc... they don't open it. The menu is the restaurant appetizers. And it is over 21 only.

It doesn't open until noon and if closed at dusk, from what I have been told. So, it's not always available.
