Post Your 2015 Discount Deals Here

I just crunched some numbers comparing SPD with room-only discount and it looks like we come out ahead with SPD. However, this is assuming I am doing the math correctly - I know there's some "secret formula" Disney uses, but is SPD generally children ticket prices and children QS dining prices (if we upgraded to the regular dining plan, someone told me it would be $34 total - that's the price I used - is that correct?)

Any help is so appreciated!!

1. 4 adults in 2 rooms
2. Jan 22-31
3. POP Standard
4. SPD
5. 4 day base tickets, Buy-up to regular DP, and MemoryMaker
6. Total cost $4837.72 (Plus $151.90/couple insurance... there are family health concerns at home)

For comparison, same package:
Rack rate: $5709.64 (SPD saves 871.92 savings, or 15.3%)
RO, w/DP: $5327.56 (saves 382.08 or 6.7%)
RO, no DP: $3144.52 (means we're essentially paying $1293.20 for 9 days of dining plan, or $35.92/person/day. At that price, it's worth it to us since we were planning at least 5 sit down meals anyway.)

My original estimates before the plan was released was about $4540 (based on full room rate, adult tickets/DP for child price). so it's not as much of a discount as before, but I'm still not going to complain!

3 adults (me, DH, nanny), 1 child, 1 infant
Feb 21 thru March 1
1 BR Theme Park View at BLT
Standard Dining Plan
$12,796

No discounts available. Seriously?!?

wow! That's a crazy amount of money. Couldn't you switch to BCV or BWV or go through Dave's point rental? He has it for $5908 for just the room, it's hard to imagine that you'd spend over 6K on food and tickets?

If I had done Room Only Discount + Tickets w/Hopper It would have been $2159. I had priced out or meals based on existing ADRs and out of pocket would have come to approximately $920. So either I pay out of pocket and my total comes to about $3079 or adding the dining plan to the Room Only discount would come to $3008. So all in all I feel I got the best deal with the SPD and am very excited to be returning to Disney World after a 5 year absence.

I am so excited, my head is spinning!! :yay: I haven't been to WDW in almost 15 years, and this will be the first trip for my dh and two sons. Orbitz would have saved us another $100, but I thought the extra money was worth avoiding the hassle of booking through a third party and adding the kids, etc.

Now the hard part will be keeping this a secret from my 5 year old until Christmas!! pixiedust:
