For those of you that were having problems with the PL deals not pulling up at Swan and Dolphin, why not book another cheap on property resort for the same times through Disney, room only. As long as you have tickets then you can book your FP reservations and ADRs. Then when your real reservations finally come through and get linked in MDE, just cancel the booking with Disney. Boom, problem solved. I was having the same problem with a PL booking not coming through to Disney's system, so I booked a deal through Disney at POP. Now that deal is almost as good as what my PL deal was that I may just cancel my PL booking and keep the one through Disney.

A word of advice to anyone trying to score a family suite through Hotwire Hotrate.....DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!
I booked a Hotrate at what I knew to be AOA resort for $290/night last week. I knew for that price it HAD to be a family suite as little mermaid isn't that high even spring break. Turns out I was wrong..It was little mermaid.

It was a deal similar to this

One would think this was a family suite at all-star music......WRONG.
Just an artificially inflated regular old room 2 double bed. The only recourse is to use the price match guarantee, which means hotwire pays you the difference...but you cant cancel.

Luckily, I was able to cancel my AOA room.....I then promptly rebooked the same period through Disney

The moral of the story, DO NOT try to score a family suite through HR. Like I said, they artificially inflate room prices to levels that are not even equal to the most expensive all year. I'm not sure where they get their comparison, but it is pure BS and fraudulent.
Dont make the same mistake I did!

For the record: I was searching something else and noticed if you search for a PE deal just on 8/24, there's another Coronado deal - so, you can get deals for both those nights if that is what you wanted, but have to book 1 day at a time. Good ol' Priceline Express. Here's the 8/24 deal: https://bit.ly/2K1BH1B
Forgive me, new to this. How do you know it’s Coronado?

So I think I messed up with my booking... found a great rate for Port of Orleans Riverside, not an Express Deal since we are a family of five. Called Disney to add my children to the reservation and they are unable to locate it even though I can see it in my plans on MDE. Anyways when I booked without using the Express Deals, I was able to input all five of us into the reservation search so I wrongly assumed I would be given a room that slept all of us, instead Priceline still only guarantees a room for two and my reservation reads Garden View Room not Garden View 5th Sleeper which I think it should say if I was given a room for five. Sadly my mistake. I'm going to call Disney back tomorrow and see if they can find the reservation and make sure that the room only accommodates 4 before I cancel. I'm disappointed because I had been really stressing over where to stay midtrip between our Animal Kingdom and Poly stays and I had finally made a decision, now it seems I either pay a tad more for a guaranteed 5th sleeper room or I head back to the drawing board for a place to lay our heads! But thankfully I am able to cancel with full refund. Also does anyone know which Disney phone number I should be calling?

I've been following here for a bit, and am considering booking a last minute room. Does this look like the Swan?

Genius! I off to do just that :) I had Pop reservations that I cancelled when I booked through PL, guess I was trigger happy cancelling them.

How did you cancel if you can't cancel?

These are the steps I took to cancel my Hotrate. Results may vary.

I called Disney reservations and told the lady the situation, that I wanted to rebook through Disney but I could only do so if I could cancel my Hotrate.
She set up my reservation, which of course I would typically do by myself online.
She then transferred over to the wholesale department and confirmed with them that they would give permission to hotwire to cancel my reservation with no cancellation fee.
I called Hotwire and spoke to a rep and told him that Disney had given me permission to cancel my reservation with no cancellation fee. I had the wholesale number ready but he didn't ask for it.
Stayed on hold for 30-45 minutes while a "specialist" confirmed the information.
He came back on and told me it had been confirmed and my reservation had been cancelled.
